I dont get why people keep saying originals is better... Lets look at a couple of things 1)Mythology:- Vampire diaries covers ao much mythology over the course of the show..and it is indepth...whether its origin of vampires, doppelgangers, cure etc Only season 4 of the originals is mythology based, but its only 13 episodes, so we dont really get to know much 2)Villains:- I dont think this is even a discussion... Tvd villains have so many personalities apart from being evil, they are funny,smart,likable and play an important part in the story Originals villains (d**lia,in**u)..have the personality of a cardboard box...we never really cared for them like we did for klaus katherine or kai....there whole person is being Scary,thats it Lmao💀 3)Acting performances:- Well this one foes to tvd too because it has tvd characters + all the originals characters I dont see how originals is better than tvd

Imo.. TVD is about a group of people who involved in supernatural world. More ‘intimate’ and personal group type of story. While TO is supernatural itself, origin story.. development of supernatural world. It’s about community and family. Both TVD & TO have their own message and storyline. Both have their own stand. I like both equally tho 🤩 Of course, this is only my opinion ✌🏻

Just basically ruining the whole experience, journey, and excitement for the first timers watching the show. It's so annoying and inconsiderate, its like let the first timers experience that same excitement and surprises we did when we first watched the show, and let them make their own jurisdiction of which characters they will like when they reach that bridge, like stop ruining it for them just cuz you know what's going to happen next. Ugh. That's why ppl call them spoilers, cuz they be spoiling the whole thing for folks🔪

A witch can incapacitate maybe 1-3 vampires at once but they can't handle that many. Their reaction time is also much slower, so vampires can blitz them if they have the element of surprise. That's not even the real reason Marcel can control the witches, you'll find out soon enough

They did this on purpose the episode in Vampire Diaries was from Klaus's point of view the first episode of The Originals was from Elijah's point of view. So interesting and new way of introducing a show twice basically.

I also enjoy The Originals more because it was more about family than a love triangle. At times I found myself asking why Stephen and especially Damon spent years estranged over a girl... Even if they loved the same girl and she died or chose the other. They were brothers first. Klaus, I fell in love with together with the Originals when I realised all he wanted was to keep his family together, even if he had to carry them in a coffin. His execution was really bad, but even on Vampire Diaries, I could relate more to family love even though they are disfunctional🙂.

I enjoyed everything about the originals apart from the baby drama 😅 so I think you're gonna like it a lot. I'd say its on par with a lot of the vampire diaries especially season 3 and 4 if I had to put a comparison on it. personally my favourite new character on this show ended up being Marcel so I'm interested how you will develop your feelings for him as we go through the seasons

The villains in the Originals are hardcore, but the thing that makes this show interesting is that most of the main characters act in a very morally grey area. In fact, the Mikaelsons are basically the villains in their own story coming into this show, so a lot of the other characters are very powerful as well, and not just entirely good or evil. This show doesn’t take it easy on any of the characters, so I would keep in mind the Mikaelsons will be pushed around some. That’s part of why I like the show though. They can’t just do whatever they want all the time. They also focus more on witches and werewolves in this show, which is really awesome!

I really enjoyed this show for the first 2-3 seasons, but not afterward. The focus of the show kinda shifted to trying to make Klaus look good, usually by making the ones around him look bad. Elijah, in my opinion, was the primary victim of that. Also, I thought the show had one of the worst endings.

Def also liked the first three seasons the best but for diff reasons. After the first three seasons I felt like the stakes were getting way way too high and for a show like this, they were not gunna pull punches. Like Elijah losing his memory, Elijah and Klaus..., the way Elijah treated Hailey and afterwards..., the family deliberately separating, like it didn't feel as good to watch after the while because they were killing off people and giving more and more dire consequences if that makes sense. It was just hard to watch after a while.

As much as I love the originals...I feel it had a villain problem..
