My favorite theory is that Lottie got that blue dress made for Tiana bc why would Lottie, a girl who is only seen in big pink ball gowns, wear a slim blue dress? That also just happens to fit Tiana?! She clearly got Tiana's mom, who would know her daughter's measurements, and paid to make her a dress! And bc Tiana would never just accept the dress Lottie had to wait for the perfect time to "gift" it to her.

Well you were talking about Tangled when Mama Odie revealed why the curse was lifted. It could only break when he kisses a princess. Since he married Tiana she became a princess and it made her eligible to break the curse. It’s a loophole that much people didn’t think about.

Some Princess and the Frog facts: Directors Ron Clements and John Musker pitched the film to Oprah on a trip to Disneyland, just for fun. She loved the idea so much that she asked to be a part of it, Oprah plays Tiana's mom! The women who fawn over Prince Naveen are all caricatures of women who work at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Anika Noni Rose requested that Tiana be left-handed, just like her. Tiana's dimples are ALSO borrowed from Anika! In an earlier version of the story, Louis was a human who couldn't play any instruments, but really wanted to, so he went to Dr. Facilier who gave him the ability to play the trumpet-and turned him into an alligator in the process. It was too complicated, so filmmakers nixed the subplot.

The soundtrack for this movie is absolutely elite. And you know you F'd up when your own theme song turns against you like what happened to Dr. Facilier. Also, the Almost There scene was done in the art style of Aaron Douglas, a prominent figure of the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. His two-dimensional art filled with symbolism and a passionate future for African-Americans have influenced many artists. The storytelling, animation, and music all work so well together in this.

My favorite thing about this movie was that Disney didn't go the tired route that would have made Charlotte the jealous antagonist. Her really, truly being Tiana's best friend was heartwarming. The scene that always gets me is Charlotte saying, "All my life I dreamed of true love and fairytales and Ti, _you found it!!_ I'll kiss him! No marriage required!" through happy tears. Fantastic.

We hear Tiana's words when she says, "You're the laziest, most worthless", we do not have to look into her human eyes every time. I know it’s months old but quick note! The reason they both turned back to human, is that the prince needed to be kissed by a princess to break the curse. It didn’t work with the blonde woman because she was only the princess of carnival for the one day, so it ended at midnight. But once Tiana and the prince married, she became a princess by marriage, and so their kiss broke the curse.

Both Tiana and Naveen get completely over looked for the likes of rapunzel and flynn and anna and kristoff (and elsa). It has amazing story line amazing art work amazing character development and some of the best songs in disney history. I wish people would give the princess and the frog the credit that it deserves. Tiana needs the credit she deserves everyone sleeps on her but she is real and keeps it 100 she had a dream and a goal and she didn't let anything holdnher backnans stop her from reaching it even being turned into a frog shw showed resourcefulness charisma sass loyalty and that as long as you put your mind to it and your heart is in the right place anything is possible. 10/10

Sad thing yet still amazing thing is that Tiana's dad almost likely fought and died in WW1 given that hanging on his army photo on Tiana's desk is the Destinguished Service Cross which is only second to the Medal of Honor being the highest military medal for valor in the entire US military. Alot of African American's were not awarded the Medal of Honor due to the color of their skin, through WW1 and WW2. Often being awarded the Distinguished Service Cross despite their actions being well and deserving of the M.O.H.
