Duchess is based on the unstreamlined Coronation class pacifics of the LMS, several of the engines were named after Duchesses (i.e. 6229 Duchess of Hamilton) and therefore the class was also known as such, her 2020 number is fictitious - it's reference to the year the episode was released. Also, I learned about Loughborough years ago, because apparently Sir Handel and his real-life equivalent (Sir Haydn) were built there.

Jam Filled actually did all of the BWBA-era CGI, which is why the animation as a whole took a noticeable nosedive after Season 21, although it still started to show in that season some as well as in Journey Beyond Sodor. Arc actually went bankrupt some time before production wrapped on JBS and S21, so that's why the animation quality is a bit inconsistent and the bouncing kinda feels shoehorned in.

To answer your question about Duchess (the engine), she is a hybrid of 3 engines. The main engine is a LMS princess coronation class, the smoke deflectors are from a LMS royal scot class, and the tender is from an A4 Absolute cluster fuck of engines. Just one of either of those 3 would've worked. As for the station they went to in London, it's supposed to be Victoria (hence the presence of Battersea power station).

I actually really like the opening with Prince Harry talking about the show! Admittedly this episode wasn't too bad (by BWBA standards that is) though it still suffers from a lot of clichés (and having Sharon Miller voice the Queen is an insult....probably just lost all my subscribers over that XD) But I did actually get a laugh out of this in the beginning! Surprised the episode is 20 minutes, it went by pretty fast! I personally wish they would have fleshed it out better but...this is Mattel we're talking about so I shouldn't have hoped for that... As much as I hate the BWBA era, I would actually love to watch your reaction videos to it! It will make watching those episodes far more entertaining and less painful and probably elicit a laugh or even mere agreement from me. (And yes, that quote is from Cars :D)

I enjoyed "Thomas and the Royal Engine". The story itself is really enjoyable, the scenery is fantastic, and... there's too much to not think positive, this really is the special that is the end of the original series because the Thomas wiki and Michael White stated the episode is the last episode in Season 24's production order. You can watch any Thomas season you want, but while you do have the point the new direction is bad (not to mention, having Nelvana work on Thomas is completely pointless since no one at Nelvana bothered to even research the franchise in general, so they are no better than Mattel), the last hope everyone does have is the Marc Forster film that was recently announced last year.

The Duchess is Supposed to based off an LMS Duchess/Coronation Class Engine (the Unstreamlined Version). Though the Render gave her the wrong Smoke Deflectors and for some Reason a Greasley Tender instead of a Stanier Tender. (I don't Understand why).
