EVERY time I see the floodwaters I begin crying because I know what's coming: his broken voice joyously crying out, "Paty Pig! 😂, followed by finding our ultimate Survivor-battered and exhausted Ima Jean❤. ...and then he amplified the pathos with the story of Donkey Dan and his rag tag-but determined-troupe. I just LOVE all those first plucky members of the "family" who forged the path toward a blessed new life for themselves...and for the myriad animals who ultimately united with them on the journeys that grew from Ima Survivor Sanctuary. 💞

Through my tears, what has come over these past years since that very video. Truly special all of you hold such a place in my heart. Your unconditional love and care for these animals is what’s made us all fall in love with everyone. There is a day goes by that I don’t wake up and check for videos and get my daily dose of a smile. Your animals bring so much joy not only to myself, but so many and I’m sure I’m not the only one that will say how grateful we are to be part of your extended family, blessings as always love my farm family❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I cannot imagine the pure joy of seeing all the survivors, yet how the pain was for those that did not survive the tragedy of that hurricane Harvey. What a blessing ISS turned into for so many well loved, well cared for animals. Bacon and eggs, a great combination, but not from ISS. Lex is so handsome. LE has your pronounced jaw line---not being critical at all/or mean. He just looks so much more like you. No snacks needed when they have such wonderful foraging. Beautiful story and the bonding of those donkeys.

LEST WE FOGET. So lovely to see the donkeys again. Danny and Ima are two of my favourites. Been following them since day one. I just want to hug Danny. He is the sweetest donkey I have ever seen and I love that you told his story again. So many animals didnt make it after hurricane Harvey and so it is so important to keep those stories fresh in our minds. People should go back on the old videos as they are truly beautiful. I often do to see those that have passed and those that are now fully grown like pig Trudy or Newton who were such funny piglets or our sweet Journey who was our inspiration along with Huckie. I could go on forever about the many sweet animals that are no longer with us, but they are still in my thoughts and heart. xxx

That story makes me cry. Letting all the donkeys come to live with Danny because they were his family. That is so heart warming. I love Danny. He is so smart. Did he go into a depression as each member of his family moved on to the sweet by and by? I have heard that the bonds that donkeys form with people, other donkeys, barnyard animals, horses, etc. are or can be so powerful that some donkeys will go into a deep depression and stop eating and drinking water. It’s like the goats kind of where they decide to give up. It’s the saddest thing I can imagine. Thank you for this video. It’s such a great reminder that things can get better, even when we are surrounded by darkness. After Harvey you had some very dark times. I know you still can have bad days, but in 5 or 6 years you and your wonderful sanctuary have come so far and you do so much for others. It’s truly a blessing. 🤗🤗🤗 Thank you for sharing that blessing! ♥️ 🫶 🙏 🤗 🤗 🇨🇦

Thank you so much for telling the powerful story of Ima Jean, Donkey Dan and his friends. Can you just imagine how terrified, traumatized and hopeless those poor babies felt after being abandoned in that horrific storm, injured, alone and unwanted. They must have been completely devastated. I would have totally lost it when they loaded themselves. That act speaks volumes about the intelligence and determination of donkeys. No wonder you did not have the heart to take only one. This is the first time I heard about Donkey Dan gathering his friends back together. What an inspiring, incredible, beautiful story. The fact that you had lost everything, yet had the heart to scrape together enough to rescue these poor pitiful donkeys, speaks volumes about your character and kind, loving heart. It is no surprise that God chose to richly bless you. You are doing His work. The donkey story alone, would make an amazing book and movie. Sending love and blessings from Michigan. 🙏🤎😍🤎🙏

Hi Lester, it really doesn't matter to me how many times I see the early videos, each time I find a little something I didn't find before and I love it. I adore all the donkeys (as it's Donkey Day, that's the animal I'm focusing on) but I have to admit to an extra special little bit of my heart goes to donkey Dan. He's come so far, given his reluctance to be in enclosed buildings. Watching how he used to stand out in the beating rain, damn near broke my ❤️. I love how he walks up to you all for some lovin and scratches and I giggle at how stealthily he manages to do it, scaring the bejeezus out of you all. He's a hoot, gentle and strong with a side dish of mischief ❤❤🐴

I would love to hear more about the other donkeys that you brought home that day. What a powerful testimony to yet again that animals DO HAVE TRUE EMOTIONS, that Dan got all the heard back together. 💞

I started watching off and on maybe 😢2 years after Hurricane Harvey. I was hooked from the first video. Sadly, I have had events in my life the last year that had caused me to get behind on all the morrow videos. I have been keeping current and watching the older ones. Lester and Jami, i do hope you really take in all that you have accomplished together. You both go gang busters when an idea hits you and you just make it happen…it has been so joyous to watch. I know there is so much more to come…❤❤❤

Watched twice on FB this morning and again a few times this afternoon on utube. Love the story of Dan and the donkeys. I found you in the fall of 2019 after I retired. Have heard the story of the flood and the donkeys many times and never tire of it. Love this video ❤

This was another powerful video, Lester. With the opening scene came tears, and I love the story of finding A donkey, and bringing home 5. Thank you for reminding us of how ISS came into being. Love ya'll ❤

I'm having a tough time imagining Jamie as anything but utterly fearless. Time has been good to both of you. You certainly have earned every bit of it.❤

Very sad to see the suffering you and your animals had went through , and the loss endured. No words can express the sorrow in watching your vid. Thankfully the lives of your animals and happiness in living their best lives goes on, thanks to yourself and Jami and Family. I've been watching and learning for more than 2 yrs now and never a dull moment, always a joy. X

I have loved donkeys ever since I saw a documentary on donkeys who were grieving a loved one's passing. It was so intense and deep.

Lester i can never get enough of your first video. Brings tears to my eyes. Can never get enough of your videos. The bucket on Ringos head brought me to I'ma. I love every video. The good, bad and the ugly. You have a friend and viewer forever.
