Stella is such an inspiration on so many levels. She's a brave girl who learned to trust again. She never saw you guys coming. You broke through her wall and showed her how a real human is to treat love and care for her the right way. She is forever grateful because you can see it when she looks to her mom and dad for reassurance. We are lucky to have her in our lives even if it's in a video.💜

I remember watching the video when you guys rescued her and praying for her survival. She was in rough shape and completely broken. I think I said it then and I'll say it again. She got the jackpot finding you all. She was finally given the love and care she deserved. It broke my heart to see what happened to her but I love to see how she's thriving! Lester, Stella’s story in my opinion is the one that most people can relate to. She has overcome abuse, abandonment, neglect, loneliness, heartbreak, and depression. She overcame so much and learned to trust again. I know I relate to her. Sharing some of what she has been through in life some of have to endure some of the scariest people, situations, and environments. We all can learn to trust, love and overcome. Evening Lester. How can you not love Stella she adorable and come so far. Seeing her so thin shaking her head so much because her ears were so bad and Her skin. Her legs showed a different story just love this girl so so much how she has blossomed and found her place at LHL. Stella definitely made an amazing comeback! I'll never forget the first time you saw her Lester! My heart broke and I cried like a baby! She was si frightened because she never knew what a kind touch was. Yours and Jamis loving hands brought her so much comfort. Look at her now! She's no longer that scared little dog that had no hair, was skin and bones and her ears had been eaten alive by flies! I didn’t reply at the time but I just wanted to say I know you are still grieving over her and I am sorry for the burden you have to carry with the loss of each of your precious animals, even if it is just saying goodbye because they are going to a new home like Santoro. That is the price you pay for caring for so many animals and being a rescuer. But because of the people you are you bear the pain and keep going. Just know that what you do is important, kind, loving and inspirational and you are supported by hundreds of thousands of people around the world (probably millions!) who love and respect you for what you are doing with your life. Oh i remember Stella's rescue .when you first showed her it broke my heart how bad starved and battered and very scared she looked .I was so happy when you told us she was in the back of your truck . I swear each Survivor Series video gets better and better! It is hard to believe that she started out the way she did. That there was a time that she thought that there was no one out there that gave a darn about her. About a year ago, little did she know that her silent prayer was about to be answered, in a way that she never thought possible - she ended up finding her furever home with 2 of the most loving and caring people around. You guys went the extra mile for her & it shows! Dogs may not be our whole life, but we are their whole life ( or something like that). One final quote that I think fits this video perfectly: " A dog doesn't know how to spell love, but knows how to show it everyday " ( Unknown) We love you Stella ❤! You are 1 in a million! Stella is my favorite rescue. Probably because I feel her pain. I have a rescued dog as well. He is 11 years old now and still suffers from his past life. It breaks my heart. He is so spoiled, sleeps in bed with me every night, takes rides in the car all the time, loves him some sonic ice cream but you still have to be careful with loud noises and even loud voices. Stella’s stars aligned with yours when you came upon her Lester as there was no way you were ever going to let this beautiful girl continue in her previous situation. I fell in love with her the minute you found her and her beautiful but sad eyes. What a long way she has come and what an absolute treasure of a companion she is to her human daddy and mummy but also care taker to the babies. It made me chuckle in the part of the video where you said she was going to be a yard dog 😂. She has clearly wrapped you around her little paw along with the other gals to dominate your home. Stella is my favorite of the dog rescues. I was so glad you were able to help her and it always gives me a happy, warm feeling to see how far she's come. I always smile when I see even a glimpse of that sweetie in a video living her best life, full of love, comfort, and purpose.
