Coming soon on Finnegan`s Garage " The Wife wants more power in her boat and we are installing a Steve Morris LMX. I would have to install a turbo screen. With my luck I would loose my glasses or hat and have it kill the turbo

Correction, installing the engine from game over.. so they can install a SMX into gameover
@NOQUARTER_2 жыл бұрын
My hat flew off a few years ago while racing a good friend of mine and got sucked into my turbo. It's 1 hell of a ride when your running about 130 mph and come to almost a dead stop. What really sucked besides having to buy a new turbskie is the water that came rushing in from the back of the boat and swamped the hell out of my new LSX build. Luckily it didn't swamp all my Holly electronics 😱👍😂
@BF265952 жыл бұрын
@@LymerPnB The 711 in gameover is already a sick Brodix aluminium block and with the cubes it has and the turbos on it, it could easily crank out 3500hp. The problem with gameover is that the suction hardware on the bottom of the boat where the jet drive ingests water is not yet properly calibrated and at a certain speed the boat is so far out of the water that it can't suck in any more water and hits a speed limit and the engine goes revving to the moon.
@robertlawler13872 жыл бұрын
If your hat stayed on untill 130 it needed to come off so a helmet might fit.
@NOQUARTER_2 жыл бұрын
@@robertlawler1387 well see when you raise your head up slightly over the windshield the wind sorta grabs it and does whatever. Also I dont tell anyone including you on what to do or how to do it because it's YOUR LIFE not mine. So how about you not worrying about mine and trying to persuade me to put a helmet on. I promise you I've been in A LOT WORSE circumstances in my life that required a helmet. So weather I'm going fast in my 1200hp boat or my 3000hp twin turbo race car it's my decision on how much of a dumbass I wanna be. As long as I'm not involving or hurting any other people or things besides me and my own then it's no bodies business but my own. I hope this helps clear things up for you. Now go worry about someone that gives 2 shits about what you think.

I think what you’re experiencing when you let of the throttle and the boat delays to slow down is that the air has packed into the tunnels and you are riding on the “cushion” of air and when you let off the throttle it takes a moment for the boat to settle back into the water

Hey Finnegan, I’m gonna be pulling the twin turbo ls out of my mantra v bottom and putting it in my liberator tunnel hull. The thing I’m trying to figure out thats a concern is how to run the fuel lines. I was curious how your returns are plumbed and if your keeping the fuel tanks fairly equal on level how? Any helps appreciated thank you. The mantra was easy to keep tanks equal as the v shape allowed me to add a line to them to help equal the tanks out using gravity.

Did you ever get rid of that little turbo collector elbow? That thing is a major restriction, takes you down to like 1 turbo territory. You need the pressure pipes from the turbos to dump into tubing which is no smaller than the size of the throttle body, period. Or, if you want to get fancy, I'm sure there's a program out there to model the flow through that part and optimize it. Either way, there's a whole bunch more power to be had.
