It makes me so happy to see you so excited! Yay!! I did want to make a comment about something you said in passing about the IUD (because a lot of my patients have this fear). IUDs end up in the abdominal cavity due to perforation through the uterus at the time of insertion. This is very rare. If the IUD is placed correctly, there is no way it can move outside of the uterus due to its soft material. Just think of how it is impossible for plastic to go through muscle by just rubbing against it. Easiest way for IUD to migrate once in position is back out through the cervix. That’s all! Just in case someone was concerned about IUDs.

Hiiii Jenny!! Always educational we love you. I myself have had this fear. I wanted the copper IUD for a hormone free birth control and it’s been 8 months since I had my baby and instill haven’t gone to get it! I’m also so scared of the pain but you made me a little less scared PS Jenny you are the first health care professional I ever followed while in undergrad. As a mom of 2 girls (4yo and 8mo) Im ready to apply to PA school this cycle and your videos are sooo relatable and inspiring for me as a minority mama and I love seeing you support other female medicine students like Rachel thank you!!

I'm a 4th year med student going into Ob/Gyn and how you are feeling now was exactly how I felt when I knew it was the specialty for me! The best advice I was ever given about picking a specialty was this: "Every procedure gets old eventually, so choose the patients and the pathology that you love." Rachel, this video has me tears. Literally crying in between my physics studying session. The way you speak about OBGYN is how I feel about psychiatry.
