Reflecting on LeBron's Cavs falling to the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the 2018 NBA Finals, Nick Wright breaks down Steph Curry's epic night from behind the arc where he scored a Finals record nine 3-pointers, noting their significance in always keeping the Warriors one step ahead of Cleveland throughout the game. Additionally, Nick Wright questions if Cleveland's Game-1 loss was responsible for setting the tone early in the way Cleveland approached Game 2.

That is utterly ridiculous. The flow of that offense when steph is in the game is arguably the prettiest offense of all time. He is the architect of how that team plays. so for me I think that makes him number 2 behind Lebron.

Sorry but LeBron has to carry some of the blame for his finals record. He's held the Cavs franchise hostage due to his salary and the lack of commitment long term. That would help them hard salary cap wise to invest in better players surrounding him. The trade mid season highlighted that they are done with LeBron and cleared cap space to be a major players in free agency this off season.

he didn't hold them hostage. he just knows ownership will eventually wet the bed, which they did. He can't commit to that. Cleveland front office is simply lucky that a top tier player like lebron feels any level of commitment to his community.

bucegus bucegus I get it, but they are done catering to him. They can't make the same mistake the Lakers did with Kobe. I think he has a few more seasons but he needs to be in a system now and not the primary ball handler.

What y’all have to understand is, when the offense runs through Steph EVERYBODY eats. Was his shooting percentage the highest in the beginning? No. But he had five assist. Six assist. He was allowing other guys to eat. Even KD. KD’s shots came a lot easier because they stopped all of that isoing and allowed the offense to be initiated by Steph. So yes. Steph had a great game all around. He was just spectacular in the fourth quarter offensively.

So right. He has trained them to wait for his double team, and when it comes e will pass if he is tired. I think a lot of that contributed to the epuc JR blunder. He is so conditioned to giving Lebron the ball, that in that moment he couldn't use his own judgement and make the right play.

I don't care how many assists Lebron gets, his team will never have more team assists than Golden State, which is the whole problem. He gets assists but is he actually consistantly setting his guys up for higher percentage shots? Thats a big no. His team doesn't move around without the ball. They stay in their assigned spots and wait for guys to double team Lebron so that they HOPE he will pass them the ball. All Lebron does is dribble for 18 seconds, draw the double team then kick out or muscle his way through by pushing defenders away with his free hand. He's lucky Iguodala isn't playing, because Warriors defenders would stay on their man and only Draymond would come help on defense. Lebron woukd have no one to pass it to.

LeBron could've just just said, don't trade Kyrie or I'm Outta here .. or he could've just said bring me John Wall or DeRozan instead of injured 29 years old 5.9 tall IT !!! he could've pushed them to get Paul George and ship Kyrie to Indiana he could've pushed them to get Ibaka or even FREE AGENT Dwight Howard in 2016 !!! he is the one who brought D. Wade in the first place he is the one who push Kyrie out (because of his attitude) he is the one who forced the Cav to renew with JR Smith for crazy amount of money !! he is the one who asked for Kevin Love he is the one who demanded Kyle Korver he is the one who demanded David Blatt out he is the one who wanted Ty Lue so he can control him LeBron is controlling the Cavs like his Video Game ... and his main goal is to look as the SAVIOR of the city !! even his championship with the Cavs was PURE LUCK due to Draymond Green false suspension and Iggy/Bogut injuries all LeBron is doing now and will continue to do for at least the next 3 years is stuffing his stats sheet with Points/Assists/Rebounds so he can change the narrative that he is the GOAT !

(I'm just tryna have a sports discussion) when people look back in NBA history, what reason would people have to not be able to say steph curry was better than lebron? Hes only in his 9th year in the nba at 29 years old and hes averaged 23 points a game 6 assists and 3 rebounds, while being a 2 time unanimous MVP and the greatest shooter the league has ever seen. His impact on the current modern NBA is undeniable. And people like to say he comes up short in the playoffs but his numbers are even better in the playoffs he averages 26, 6 and 5 with 2 championships in 3 finals appearances. In his 1st championship win his temmates were ANDREW BOGUT, DRAYMOND GREEN, HARRISON BARNES AND KLAY which is not a superstar cast of teammates at all and in the finals iguodala came in and they gave him the mvp even though curry averaged 25, 5 and 6. This is all considering the fact that hes only in his 9th year with 2 rings and 2 mvps.

We can subtract both assists that he received lol wouldn't change the fact that he scored or assisted on half of their points. Y'all are too quick to turn on people who root for LeBron. Or don't care about parts of the game outside of scoring.

He was perfect from three in the 4th quarter, sparked the big run the Warriors went on, and kept hitting threes every time the Cavs thought they were back in the game. And Nick Wright's trying to downplay him like it was something anybody could have done. I've never heard an NBA record glossed over in such an off-handed manner before. They're acting like going 9 for 17 from three was mundane. Either they hate Curry, love Durant more than anyone alive, or love LeBron more than anyone alive. Ridiculous stuff they're saying.

Jordan wanted to get double teamed. Just like Curry practices ridiculous perimeter shots, prime Jordan was a master of making your defenders turn into dodgems bumping into each other right before or even right when he was scoring on ya. Lebrun on the other hand, is surrounded by shooters so he'll make the "smart play", like he could do anything else, if double teamed.

I've noticed now, either becauze its ESPN instead of TNT, or they don't wanna embarrass Lebron, that they don't show number of passes stats likevthey did against the Rockets. In the games where Harden ball hogged, they showed # of drbbles and passes for the two teams. They don't do that with Lebron though, because it will discredit their narrative of how he makes hit teamates better. Levron passes too late in the shotclock for his teamates to make the extra pass. Also, Lebron will get mad cyz he won't get credited for the assist. Gimmick

Hill was playing nice 1st half. Love had a good game. This is what happens when you don't play 1 Superstar on your way to the Finals and then have to play the best team. Bron made this team. I think they would have been better with IT and Wade and Crowder in the finals. They are not even using Hood who was a 17PPG guy before CLE. Bron made this squad and made Kyrie leave now this is what he lives with

One thing is it is not easy to make a contribution when u only get 7 to 8 shots in a game very few players can do that golden state moves the ball better and they have smart players like a Livingston who never shoots a 3 u know y he doesn't cause he knows his game he hits that mid range shot consistently so he sticks with it and to get going from 3 sometimes u need to have an easy layup or something to get ur shot going the Cavs role players don't take shots they are comfortable with a lot of times and that's one of they're main problems and the fact that golden state is just the better team to beat the warriors u can't do what they do and try to match them 3 for 3 u have to attack on the inside and every once in a while take a 3 if u punish them inside u have a shot to beat them

Nick Wright knows as much about basketball as JR Smith knows about keeping score. Guy has made a sports talk career out of being a Lebron fanboy. It's really a pretty major joke listening to him most times. In terms of the series, this is the only year Lebron didn't have a team truly worthy of getting to the finals in the east. Since 2011, he's had the best team and supporting cast in the east. "Period. Point-blank!" So hats off to him for getting back to the show in spite of working with spare parts.

The people who scream it's A Team game is the people who goes to the basketball court picks the other four players to play on his team and doesn't get the ball I've played basketball all my life on high levels if I give you the ball and you do nothing with it I'm not giving you the ball again that's why they love LeBron so much but in our case when you are score and your dominant player if we win we all win if we lose its on me I don't care if you're open or not if you're not good enough I'm not giving you the ball. Specially with the game on the line I'm taking the ball myself call me selfish call Mike selfish call Kobe selfish and that's why they have six championships and five championships that's the difference the stats mean nothing it's about winning and losing the stats just an argument that y'all can help LeBron in his case stats mean nothing championships and winning means everything and he's looking at being three and six that's a losing record you cannot be the greatest or the so-called goats with a losing record in anything I don't care who the competition is get it done
