You are capable of so much better. But I actually thought Dray's apology he released after this sounded genuine and was well made. So in the end he did choose to stand on it because he also understood that's what he needed to do. Not that complicated lol. When you do something wrong, you hold yourself accountable for it. My thoughts exactly. The Celtics suspended Ime Udoka for an entire season (essentially fired him) for a consensual affair, which is just a breach of organization policy. Draymond Green committed full-on assault, which would have him in court in any other setting, but yeah let’s just slap him on the wrist with 2 weeks.

Funny thing is, there’s a video of Draymond explaining how he knew Poole would be ok in the league. He goes on to tell a short story about Poole coming in as a rookie and just being a trash talker. One of the other rookies gets made and asks Draymond to check him (Poole) and put him in his place. Draymond’s response to the rookie was something to the extent of, “if you can’t handle his trash talking, that’s on you”. You see because back then, Draymond didn’t see Poole as a threat. He was just some unknown trash talking rookie. Fast forward to this past season and many sports shows we’re talking about GS big three… Steph, Klay, and Poole. Cuz what’s better than splash brothers… splash triplets and Draymond got demoted to the red-headed step child. 😂😂😂

All it took was literally one coach to keep Draymond from walking slowly over there and this never happens. Now it's ruined the team chemistry and dynamic cuz they like the "feistiness" for championship energy. Imagine Poole pressing charges....that will push the warriors to terminate his contract and trade Dray. If the Warriors kept Dray then Poole will want to leave. I just hope both players cool down and forget and forgive, but Dray must forget about the max contract he wanted. HE WILL NOT GET IT

I'd release draymond if it was my call. He's already basically demanding a max deal and I wouldn't sign him at all aside from this incident based solely off his production. Can't deny that he was apart of the reason KD left and regardless how anybody feels, Poole averaged 30 points a night when curry was out at the end of last season.

I normally like and respect Chris broussard. Not anymore. Two week suspension with no pay??? For a multi millionaire!!???? How entitled and tone deaf is that. Chris. Have you spoken to anyone in middle class America working in a factory, restraunt, etc?? That is immediate dismissal! Assault laws do not penalize cussing at someone. They only penalize violent action. Very disappointed in broussard. Try spending time with non pampered sport millionaires who have to live by laws and rules.

I don’t care how famous or how much money you have, the same rules that apply to normal hardworking people should be applied to them. Draymond needs to be fired, go to jail, and pay Poole. Same thing with Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. Look at how Will walked off and sat down like he was untouchable after that deplorable act. There is no place for people sucker punching another human and getting away with it.
