Kelly Clarkson can sing anyones' song and make it sound beautiful!! She has a God-given talent. She was honoring Garth and she sure did make him proud to have her sing for his tribute. Thank you for that reaction Anton!! I have been listening to your Kelly Clarkson reactions and I love how you love her Kellyokes. I have been a Kelly Clarkson fan for 20 years now. On September 4th of 2002, Kelly won the first American Idol. She is STILL going strong today. She can sing any song, any genre, and make it sound like it's her own. She is a talented songwriter, vocalist, and also an awesome daytime show host. She just won in 2022, seven out of nine daytime Emmy Awards for her show. I do believe Kelly will be doing her show for many years to come because people love how real she is. She includes any people on her show, even people like US if we have helped a community out or helped others out. Her talk show is a very positive show that has an impact on many people just like her music.

She sang the hell out of this song. And she even told Garth on her show this song was the song that helped her thru her divorce. So when you see her singing this song you can see she was really feeling the pain and emotion. It was so beautiful. The way she sang it and brought the emotions. Made me tear up. She did so amazing.

I can understand why you were missing the original arrangement. All I can think is that Jason Halbert, who has been Kelly's musical director for her entire career and is the man accompanying her here, wanted to showcase the vocals more than the music. She has a talk show in which she opens every episode with an abbreviated performance of a cover song (you can search YT for "Kellyoke" to see them) and Jason's edits are incredible, as is the range of styles Kelly does. I love that she's been loyal to him from the very beginning and credits him with much of her success. I'm gonna hit that subscribe button to your channel, as well! Cheers.

Kelly was only allotted so much time to sing this song so she had to shorten it. The tribute section for each honoree was around 20 minutes and had to accommodate a number of performances and a tribute film in that time. Kelly sung brilliantly though and I would love a full version as well.

You should check out Kelly’s 2021 Christmas Special it was beautiful with Brett Eldridge, Ariana Grande and Leslie Odom. Plus Blessed on Jimmy Fallon Show was incredible. As well as her intro on the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Billboards awards shows how versatile she is. Definitely need to check them out. Great reaction.

I realize they didn't do the piano intro, but these award shows are pressed for time. You have to condense everything down; besides that is Garth's thing. Kelly brought a whole new twist to it. She is the only person who could have won the original "American Idol" and made it what it is today. Had any other contestant won, it would have crashed and burned in a season or two.

This woman has written over one-hundred tracks that have been number one on the billboard charts. No, she hasn’t sang them all- but I’ll tell you this, she was VERY unhappy in her original contract. She had to work with people like Dr. Luke, and many others who told her that her writing was not good enough. Since she left, she has released 2 albums “The Meaning of Life” and “Chemistry”. Being a long time fan, it is some of her very best work- because it’s what she wanted to say, how she wanted to say it. Who is anyone to decide that someone’s music is not equal to their voice? I mean, instead of making an arrogant statement like that- wouldn’t silence be easier.
