hey these recipies arent that expensive. if you have a stove a grociery and sone time you can make this for 10 bucks or less which is about the same price of eating out. also you can make this multiple times with the ingreidents you bought because you buy huge bags for 10 bucks

Maangchi, I just made Eomukguk today as it was a tad chilly in NJ in May. I chopped up the kelp and added it along with some onion and radish. It was awesome. Then I accidentally dropped a fish cake loaded with dipping sauce into the soup and that added even more flavor. My cats even enjoyed the anchovies. I love your cook book and have already made a couple of Kimchi dishes.

yeah the square shape fish cake looks like tofu, so I thought it may be fried tofu but it is chewy fish cake. I think all the fish cakes taste similar.

My hubby loves this soup so do I. My ex sister inlaw taught me how to make it. Also, made your seaweed soup. Fabulous! Hubby likes it as well. Just wanted something light for supper and made it. Eat with kimchi and radish kimchi plus greens. Really good.

I always see the fish cakes at H mart but never really knew how to work with them... I'll try out this recipe over the summer! I love kelp in my soup so I think I will keep it in the broth with the fish cakes :)
