+1 for 136C. Good call. I also dumped all my bushynose. They consume more than they're worth.

I guess I missed out on your nice line of super reds, life happens and did not get to set up a proper breeding tank for it. I always liked your set-up and am happy to see a fellow fishkeeper continue to improve and learn from this hobby, thanks for sharing your experience.

I feel like a lot of experienced pleco breeders are dropping the bristlenose lately….I just watched TM aquatics video saying he is doing the same. I just sold off all of mine except for my peppermints too. Same reasons too many fry, too much work, not enough return. Great video!

Yeah I kinda saw this coming a few years back when I got into them and found how insanely prolific and easy to breed they were - I thought to myself "LF Super Red and LF Green Dragon prices definitely can't stay $20 a piece for very long with how easy they are to get into and mass produce"

I have a young proven breeding pair of L236 SW’s, whatever ever since I’ve gotten them I have not been able to get them to breed. The mail is always in the cave, but the female just isn’t interested.! You know, a trick I can do to try to trigger spawning?

Was just watching some of your old videos and seen that you’ve no longer got the l333 black and whites. What happened with them?

A good looking fish for sure, though if I was to ever do ancistrus again, it would probably be L181s

What are the breeder boxes that you are using? I like how they sit inside the tank.
Would you say there’s high demand for l236 sw? Thinking of starting a colony but only if it’ll be easy to sell the fry

I'd say so!

Why did you stop laser videos
@FoisyAquatics Жыл бұрын
Time just got the better of me :( I got a full time job, bought a house, got married, and had a kid. As great as it has all been, the gaming and laser channels went on the backburner as I don't have time to do those things as a hobby anymore. Though I do hope to someday make a return somehow!

@@FoisyAquatics Ohhh I see, congrats on the family man. Also btw your Fortnite videos were the best on the planet, always consistently showing me new tricks during the golden age of the game, thank you so much for that man. Good luck with your life, would be fun to see a new laser review sometime in the future.

There is no way you need 2 sponge filters per 20 long. What I mean is all a sponge filter do is provided a surface for bacteria and push water through it. The amount of bacteria relates to the amount of fish waste. You basically have unused space with two sponge filters.
@garrettfamilyaquatics67042 жыл бұрын
Why wouldn’t he though? Sponges are $10….

My thought process too - extra beneficial bacteria never hurt anyone! Plus it makes my tanks almost entirely maintenance free
@johnbrand18932 жыл бұрын
With the troubles your having with what you’re convinced is female and ending up male, so your male/female ratio is out of sync, having to many males competing to breed with the female (if you have one) is a problem in itself. So why don’t you go to a trusted breeder who can for sure tell the difference, and help you out getting your breeding program up and running, like TM Aquatics in America, as I’m sure you’ve heard of, it’s surely a no brainier as they say. 🤔😔👏👍🏴

The trouble is everyone is looking for young females too and the ones who are selling them can fetch quite a premium for them!
