Yo Ik how u use an Alberto knot to connect braid to leader but do you experience any line twist with lures like diamond jigs and other stuff? I heard without a swivel, you can get line twist. That is Fort Pond in Montauk town itself.This lake also has Tiger Muskies in it to help keep the perch population down.One of the few lakes on the island that has a decent smallmouth population too.

Hey I was just wondering what leader lb test you use most for your triumph surf setup and also do you back your reel with mono backing when spooling braid and if so what pound mono do you use? Thanks love the videos nan

I was using 40 or 50lb fluoro leader and typically I’ll use backing on larger reels because braid can be pricey and some big reels you can put way over the capacity of what you’ll actually need for surf fishing for Stripes Bass. Like if I buy 300 yard spool I’ll probably put 150yards on two reels and backing underneath. If I’m using a smaller inshore spinning reel I don’t bother with backing anymore. Especially since most reels nowadays have a rubber band on the base of the spool so you can tie your braid directly to the spool. I would use like 20 or 30lb mono depending on the size of the reel.

You do know there's a couple of things to do to rename / christen the boat..? Ask any seasoned boater, and he or she will tell you renaming a boat without following time-honored traditions can incur the wrath of Poseidon, the god of the sea. Poseidon has the name of every (and we do mean every) vessel ever launched recorded in the Ledger of the Deep. See to it friend.
