In this video, I find four abandoned duck eggs in my neighbors yard and incubate them until they hatch. Three of the four ducklings hatched and are eating and drinking. The big ducklings are four weeks old and are doing great! Thanks you guys for watching!!

I hope not either, because it's illegal in all states to touch duck eggs without a proper reason (like the mother died). Other than it just being cruel to take them from their mom. A couple things you can do to keep the water clean; 1: suspend it above the ground by a few inches, just hang it or put it on a few bricks. And 2: the ducks will like to get into the water to clean their feathers, so put some rocks in the water to keep them from stepping in it but leave enough room for their bills to reach.

Wait awhile longer to put those babies in with the older ones. They can be bullies and squash the younger ones. Also there isn't enough room in that pen for the babies to get away. You might put in something in that the bigger ducks can't get under. Good job raising them. A joy to watch.

I have a female Mallard that brings a new Drake to my backyard every year for 6 years in a row now. They seem to show up after her babies have matured and left on their own, because I never see her babies. Every year it's a new male. I have a kiddie pool filled with water, they love swimming in it and drinking from it. I also of course have fresh scratch for them to eat. They generally come everyday from mid May to about no later than the end of June. And then they disappear until next spring. I've named her Sophia lol I have no idea he she figured out that out of 3000 houses in the community that mine was the one that was going to spoil her lol I love her and I will miss her when she's gone. I live in South Carolina btw.

Loved this! Had a mallard as a kid. We got him as a tiny baby. For about 3 years I think. We live in Indiana. We had a freak freeze and he froze :-(. He was actually not the worst pet. Not that I advise it. He was better than some dogs I've had. Love their sounds. Reminds me of Beeper so much. We called him Beeoer cause their sound ❤❤ he would preen me and run his beak over my shoulder through my hair and lean into me like a hug and repeat it over and over. As sweet as he was you could not take your eyes off him or your pate if you had food. You think a snake if fast youve never seen a duck who wants to steal your food lol! Man so fast!! He snatched and inhaled half a lunch meat sandwich from my hand in a couple milliseconds before I could even blink! It was so fast!! Lol 😆 it was a wonderful experiance! Thank you so much for sharing! Mallards are dear to my heart!❤❤❤❤❤❤🦆🦆❤❤❤❤❤❤
