A short compilation of trail camera video footage from one location during late August 2024. The fisher was a treat to see! Black bears are numerous in the area this year, so it's no surprise to see them show up at this camera location. This trio of adults attacks the camera, but fortunately, we have a metal security box protecting this camera that's securely lag-bolted to a tree. Without these precautions, the bears would knock it out of place and eventually destroy the camera, like many before as experienced in our previous years of trail camera photography. The color of the red fox is beautiful in contrast with the green surroundings. Deer are also plentiful in the area, and we love to see the cute fawns!
I love to observe wildlife behavior in the forest near our off-grid wilderness camp in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. I find it adventurous, fascinating, educational, entertaining, and therapeutic. Speaking in first person as the lead photographer/video editor, but it's actually a whole family hobby. My husband and son are involved with quadding/snowmobiling/hiking out into the forest together for camera checks, security box manufacturing, scouting, and camera location setups.
