Hello Sir, I like your presentation very much! I have FishhawkX4 on my 18" Lund Aluminum Boat. I'm fishing on Lake Michigan near Chicago. While I'm using my Fishhawk reading of Temperature and Speed by the Weight disappearing for a few minutes and appear again for a few minutes ? Thank you.

Ace, I know this is an old post but no one answered your question... Down rigger ball size, depth of probe, wind speed and angle of transom mounted unit on the boat can cause these issues. Try adjusting (tilting) the transom mounted receiver up a little so it is looking backwards just a little. The cannon ball can sway too far back in certain situations and give you intermittent readings when running the ball really deep or in windy wavy conditions. This happens on my boat so I run my probe on the out-and-down rigger on my port side, same as my receiving unit, after finding temp I pull the rigger up to about 40 of depth and just use it for speed which is most important to me after temp. Temperature does not change much in my area. So once you find it, say 52 degrees at 65 feet down, first thing it stays stable for the most part.

Hey Sir, have you ever had a situation where you get good depth, speed, and temp at the ball, but no speed at the surface and a constant 3.9 reading for temp?

Thanks for the response Sir. I did get a response from Fish hawk and they sent me a new display which didn’t fix the problem. I am now getting accurate speed, just not temp. They sent me a new transducer to test and mount to fix the temp issue.
