They are feisty but not strong. 6x is plenty.

A short 7’ rod 3-4 weight line is perfect for most mountain streams. I use the butter stick from redington and it’s a7’6” 3weight and it has proven to be a perfect choice for the mountains

I catch so many more trout in SNP in the spring using a dry plus nymph dropper then I did when I only fished dries my first few years of fly fishing

Keep em in the water son. This encourages people to put them on the bank and get out a camera to take pictures. I've found their dead (released) natives behind them.
