@@girlfinfishing Yeah the heat hasn’t been very forgiving in SoCal either. Finally starting to Taper Down. So since your such a great Angler/trout Angler, what would you recommend for these planters as far as Mini Jigs? Trying to make some stuff for the upcoming season but trout is not my forte. @Stellarbaits I hope it cools down quite a bit. Makes it tough to go out and fish. I don’t use jigs very often, but you can’t go wrong with crappie jigs. Eurotackle makes micro finesse swim baits and I bet they would get slammed by a trout. You should give them a try. Some go-to trout lures for me are kastmasters, rooster tails, and rapalas. I hope you slay some trout this season. 💪🏻

I fished there before but did not know my go pro had blacked out on me and lost 3/4 video footage. Not much people fish the area since its a long hike forsure and barbless. All the fish I caught there before have been bass and bluegills only no trout for me.

Oh no! That just means you’ll have to go again. I didn’t know it was barbless 🤨 I’ll have to do more research. There are trout in that first tiny pool, but nothing of size. I’m sure there are more further down the canyon. Fish on! Tight lines 💪🏻 🎣

Appreciate you subbing 😊 There are so many creeks/ rivers running through the canyons. I’m still exploring, but the American river flows throw Auburn and there are a bunch of coves and creeks if you follow it. You can catch brown trout and rainbow trout. Fish on 💪🏻 🎣
