Bloody good effort lads Chesil is a fantastic beach when it's switched on, Southbourne can also produce plaice and is more reliable than sand banks for another time maybe 😁

This video doesn't really show the sheer amout of effort and hours and miles that the guys put in to this weekends road trip. I am from Brighton so know it well and I now live near Chesil. The two are probably a 4 hour drive apart in light traffic. Immense effort!! Hats off to you 👏👏👏👏👏👏

I fish Chesil all I say you were very unlucky not to catch hope you fish it again and catch some nice fish.and I'm from Norwich next time try fish near portland end near the cafe or second cafe about 5miles from first cafe all the best.

I'm gutted for you lads ! You made so much effort to come to England to catch plaice, but blanked. I live in Bognor Regis on the south coast and waiting for the plaice to show here. I caught a small one in December but have had no more since. I've seen them caught in Brighton and Eastbourne, but not this far west yet.

You picked just about the hardest tides and time of the year. Great effort.... pick a decent spring tide in September and come back to Chesil...... that will make a decent vid.

It's such a pity that you travelled all that way to Bexington and then fished a mere 30 minutes walk from the best fishing spots. The beach may look the same all along but the seabed changes. You need to fish where the fish feed. You enjoyed your trip but you were so close and yet so far from where you should have been. Brighton the same, nowhere near where the best ground is. Fishing is not about just turning up at a named venue, it's about precise locations. Many anglers will help if you do some research and make enquires. There are areas of seabed that fish will swim across and you will catch a few but put yourself on the feeding areas and you will bag up. Sometimes as little as 50 yards can put you on the fish or on dead ground. There is also a lot of detail in when to be there too. Many anglers travel to fish my local beaches with no idea of where and when. Their catches are a fraction of what's being caught by locals in the know. I'm sure you probably know you own local venues.
