FISHING WITH SMALL LURES on a new stretch of River with Russ from UKfishingvlog, June 2022

I was kindly invited to join fellow You tube fisherman Russ from UKfishingvlog for a mid morning session on one of his favourite stretches of River.
The plan was to fish small Lures on light gear for the resident predators but I had to take my trotting set-up as back too.
It was a brilliant few hours roving the River searching out good looking swims on the feature filled section. We managed some lovely Perch out between us which were in top condition.
A BIG THANK YOU TO RUSS for showing me the good spots & letting us in on priceless information. We shared some great fishing stories from past sessions & hopefully will be meeting up again soon for some more adventures.

Agree mate, them Perch were tucked away in the shady swims but gave there location away chasing the Lures, great to see in clear water... thanks for tuning in again pal 👍

Wow, that stretch looks like it's got some nice swims and slow moving too. You just couldn't resist the old trotting tactics could ya 😂. Hopefully Russ will show you how to catch a barbel next time 🐟🎣

I’ve fished that stretch once before over winter, there’s some great looking swims up there.

Hi mate, yeah this stretch has everything with weirs, tress, weed n some deep holes... fishermans dream... its very weedy in a few areas at the moment, needs a flush through with some heavy 🌧. You off the mark for the Barbel yet bud?

@@yorkshireriverrover7199 I’ve had two from the Don so far but that’s it. Some nice chub though which I’m more than happy with. Just wish I had more time to fish, can’t get out enough at the moment.

Yeah loads of swims are unfishable in the summer with the weed... its a nice area to walk the River , never tried it in the Winter yet... thanks for watching pal 👍🍺🎅

ive checked that swim out before with my cousin we never fished it though, could see a lot of small stuff in the edges

nice going pete, I had some nice perch last year, and got the misses into fishing, and she had a whooper, perch, 2.5lb, and she had pike out the chesterfield on a little pole, so yeah cant wait to get out fishing, not been yet, just waiting to get back on the road which should be this mth, its good to see you smashing it my friend, love the clips, so tight lines an stay well my friend

Brilliant video man keep it up do you ever fish the broom hill strech anymore is they still a decent head off barble if you land in the right place
