Great to see you back. I enjoy the evolution that fishing brings. We get out there for the excitement of catching fish, using cool gear, learning different techniques. But after awhile, you just learn that half the reason we’re out there is to just because we love the outdoors. You start to notice everything that is living and thriving where you previous saw moss and etc. this is why it is so critical we get young people out enjoying the outdoors no matter what the avenue. People learn to take care of what they appreciate.

Hey Rod, I am going to the chilliwack river next weekend. Which salmon should I target and do they bite the hook? In Alaska during spawning season the pink and sockeye weren’t biting so we were trying to hook their mouth. How should I fish the chilliwack river?

Just found your channel and very excited to get back into fishing after about 20 years! I grew up back east where fishing was quite a bit different so I'm looking for a good all around setup to fish local to vancouver . I don't own a car so will start as local as possible. Might you have insight or a video that walks through a good all around set up? Thanks and looking forward to learning from you!

Rod, I want to thank you and your team for all the hard work and dedication you've put into your content over the years. You have taught me so much and now I'm sharing your content with other friends and family who want to learn more about fishing. I was so glad to hear that you were taking a much deserved break, but still continuing to produce content. We still have a lot to learn from you and your team.

I always enjoyed your videos. I think it would be cool if you did some more videos at home though, like showing us different gear you used over the years. Maybe some in depth videos on different species, what lures and techniques, maybe some reviews of different products. Just a thought if you want a change of pace.

I would say Port Renfrew is the place to be for shore/beach casting for coho salmon. It shouldn't be too hard to find the spots once you're there, the San Juan has a solid run of fish every fall.
