And that's the issue, I think. Depending on which channel you view, there could be quite a difference in what your told/shown, regarding how to do an exercise/stretch. Case in point; the classic hamstring stretch. I was shown' over the last couple of years, that the "latest science" indicates that keeping your back straight, NOT rounded, as you reach/stretch forward, was most optimal, not only for the hamstrings, but for the lower back health/safety as well. I just wish there was more of thru line of consensus. It just goes to show you that sticking with one source on ANYTHING is not the way to acquire the most consistent/accurate information. All that being said, I do sincerely appreciate this channel, and what it's trying to do to help people get healthier. thank you.

This was great! I'll consider investing in an inversion table. What about the "Superman" stretch and there is also a hyperextension exercise that is similar to a push-up but you keep your lower body on the floor; you press your torso up? I do both of these and feel they help.

It's a misconception your core is only your ab muscles as your lower-back plays just a vital, if not more important role. Excellent video. Going to implement. What do you think instead of child pose to place two hands on a wall , take step back keeping arms and legs straight and basically doing it that way? Would that work as alternative ?

Hey Michael, thanks for writing in and great question. You could use this wall variation as something different from Child's Pose, though CP is fantastic for complete relaxation. With the wall, you still have to stabilize with your lower-body to keep balance so not that one is right/wrong, more that they are different, depending on what you're trying to achieve. -The FFP Team

Do you believe it's good to stretch a tight muscle ? If your hamstrings are tight shouldn't you relax them first by stretching the hip flexors ?

It's definitely NOT a good idea to aggressively stretch a cold, tight muscle. That said, starting with some quick foam rolling/light activity/warm-up to get some blood flow to the tight muscle is a great idea to do before static stretching. Your strategy of stretching/addressing surrounding areas is very good and advisable.

Very useful content, however, your classic hamstring stretch is just way too difficult for beginners with tight hamstrings. Rather modify the exercise by folding one leg into a figure 4 shape and stretch one hamstring at a time.
