Just did this in my hotel room (well, the college room I'm staying in for a conference). Totally brilliant! A lot of the home workouts on here presume you have a tonne of space, and that you've already warmed up. This was perfect, even for what little space I had. 10/10!

Just wanted to thank you for these vids! I’ve changed my lifestyle recently and ur vids have really helped. I’ve lost about 15lbs in the last 3mo. The weight loss has tapered off, but I know that’s because I’m gaining muscle. I’m at the point where I’m noticing a change!! Such a good feeling. I’m at the point where when you say “if this is difficult, get on your knees” and I’m like “how TF are you talking while doing this!!” lol but soon my friend. I’ll be there. Great job on the vids. How you talk. The video quality. Love the timer and sounds (helps when I’m sweating my face off and can’t see). Keep it up ok? U got my much deserved Likes.

@asukachan079 жыл бұрын
***** I have done this along with "easier" upper body workouts for some time (5-6months). If you are a woman, do not worry about getting big biceps. Your arms will look smaller and more toned, and it is ONLY when you flex your arms hard that someone will be able to tell that you work them out. By the way, this workout helps with your chest, shoulders and back too, I'd say even more dramatically than your biceps/triceps.
@sulwent9 жыл бұрын
angela addawoo it's true that it's hard to keep up the routine sometimes bc there's a lot to do in one day at times and it's tiring. alright, sure!!! all the best :)

Great workout! un-solicited feedback warning: Felt some strain in my neck on the supine and pike push up (might be worth adding neck rolls into the warm-up) and on the pike push up certainly some rotator cuff strain and it is easy to over extend on this (maybe some pendulum stretches to start, but I have existing issues with this). Any advice would be welcome, as this may just be my bad form.

good for you haha! I'm fourteen also😂I'm a pretty skinny girl as i lost loads of weight last year and used to obsess about being fat...I've come to realise it's all in my head. And working out shouldn't be about how you look, it's about how you feel. My goal is to get stronger and I do a lot of their more advanced bodyweight workouts..sometimes I lift (really light) I might add a bit more as I don't really feel it as much. But it's great that you're into exercise :)

I can definitely see the difference coming back to this workout after a few months of doing other videos. The only thing is it hasn't got any easier. I can do a few pike pushups now before transitioning to my knee, and I did this workout after a short HIIT routine which made it even harder. The more you are able to do, the more you push yourself! xD

Is it possible to gain muscle (like actually increase muscle size and mass) while simultaneously losing weight? Because for the former you need caloric surplus while for the latter you need a deficit and it's confusing as to how I could approach it.
@Decadencemaster10 жыл бұрын
Do you mind if I jump in there? If you eat the right stuff and keep carbohydrates out of your diet, you can increase muscle mass while losing fat. Carbs prompts insulin to push triglycerides into fat cells, while fats and proteins don't. So your body will use the protein and fats for your muscle building and skin cell health. Hope this helps :)
@10n31y41if39 жыл бұрын
Raenelle Navarro Shaving Pvt. Ryan is correct, carbs are very important for muscle growth. Without carbs it is impossible to gain muscle. In fact, it is a smart idea to eat high glycemic carbs + protein right after a workout because the insulin delivers protein to the muscles to help them recover and grow quickly. Hope this helps!
@ImNotOdd7 жыл бұрын
(I'm two years late) but many vegetables are high in carbs. The only carbs that wouldn't work with your plan would be potatoes and bread. I'm sure there are more, but I would stay away from uber startchy foods that are high in sugar and low in protein.
