Fitting BASENOR mud flaps on a Tesla Model Y (plus product review)

In this video I review and fit the BASENOR mud flaps on a 2024 Tesla Model Y.
I purchased these from Amazon here amzn.to/46Rulq1
These are very easy to fit and nicely moulded around the car's bumpers and trim, making them like OEM. However, many have given these negative reviews on Amazon. But its clear that they don't know how to fit them and blaming the fixings when there's nothing wrong with them.

I fitted these after watching this. Had fronts from stock but no rears. Definite improvement to how clean the rear end stays. Worth doing. Thanks for the vid.

Why don’t you remove the washer on the top screw for rear flap? Then reinstall the washer on top of that top screw?

You could do, but these can break when removing them as they're not nuts - they're push fits. You could remove it and put it over the mudflap if you want, but it doesn't add much more security.

@@GoGreenAutos makes sense. My Basenor kit came with two extra push fits, probably for this reason. But I was able to reinstall the OEM ones. Thanks for this video!

I can’t get the metal clip to catch on the car. It only slides onto the flap. No problem getting the “push screws” in though.

Now the question is how do you take these push fitting out? The Basenor ones have no cap to put a flathead

If you very gently turn the centre with a philips screwdriver, it will lift enough to pull it out. But you have to turn it very lightly and not push against it.
