Fitting the Frame on the Hot Rod '40 Chevy - BONUS Mighty Mite Revival - Stacey David's Gearz S18 E2

The Hot Rod Coupe is back in the shop as Stacey continues to fit the old ’40 Chevy body down on the new replacement frame. Once that is done, it’s on to fitting the front clip and laying out the radiator and inner fenders so we can finally get our first look at the stance of this classic hot rod. After that, he rolls in the amazing Mighty Mite for some simple fuel system upgrades. This aluminum bodied, 4x4 vehicle was designed specifically for the Marine Corps to do anything a Jeep could do, only better and faster. Did it succeed? Well, you’ll have to watch GEARZ to find out!

Those old LTD's were just plain comfortable. I learned to drive on a V6 version, and it was like driving a living room sofa. Power Steering, Power Brakes, A/C and not much else. The other big advantage with them is that they are a foxbody chassis, so almost anything for a foxbody will fit, performance wise. Man, I miss that old car...

When I first went in the Army in 1990 my basic training Battalion had 2 Mighty Mites that they used for road marches and our 10 day FTX. those things are so cool for as ugly as they are.
