I’d love to see somebody make a Victorinox scale where the shield is actually an LED emitter. So the shield would house a hidden emitter beneath it. Wouldn’t that be sick? Even if it was just to make the shield light up, or the shield itself, could be a glow in the dark plastic, so that when you light up the light behind it when you’re done it still glows.

TSA has thousands of confiscated knives that people forgot about when going through security checkpoints at the airports. My wife had a Victorinox knife in her purse she forgot was there. As soon as they saw it on the X-ray machine she thought she was going to jail but security just let her drop it in a box with all the other things people forgot about. You will loose your knives if you try to fly with them. Don’t try you’ll be disappointed when your knife hits the bottom of the collection box. My wife was just glad they let her go.

they just discontinued the Cybertool S - it has blades (i believe two) but essentially is one just one layer bigger... (but bladeless/TSA-conforming would be great)
@manwiththeredface7821
@manwiththeredface7821 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelkeller5008 I know about the Cybertool S but I think this one is a step up from that: this techie SAK has pliers instead of the bottle and can openers (much more useful while working with electronics). Plus all the other Cybertools are way too big for my liking. I'd rather have 2 SAKs (geared towards 2 different areas of use) with 4 layers each than one giant brick that may have every tool I ever need but too chunky to be practical.

Great builds, again... One suggestion... Since you are actually into modifying tools, a good one is to hook-shape and sharpen the inner flat part of the can opener to get a small hook blade (this is from Felix Immler here on KZbin... Check it out!). It adds nice functionality to the best tool from Voctorinox, and one could think about grinding off also the lower "can edge grabbing" part for better use of the hook blade, however loosing the can opening functionality, but... Well the real functions of the can opener nowadays are small flat head, emergency Phillips head, and scraping/prying with the sharpened edge, who cares about opening cans? 🙂 Cheers!

@@FittoSurvive idk why it’s avoided because it seems like a simple thing to do, it’s just another dividing plate with a bending part for liner lock. I assume it’s because in people’s minds a sak is the legal to carry slip joint? But then again there’s the 84mm evo series that it has locking blade. Not a practical one but it’s lockable. beautiful knives!! I have a question; How do you get the acid wash so black... I just did one last week and my wash came out more grey in colours. I etched the parts two times each for 90 seconds.... did I etch them for too long or too short a time... or do you have a trick to share? :) Imo the minichamp just has too many blades to be carrying at once... The first black and green one is almost perfect! All I would do was change the small serrated blade out for the combo bottle and can opener from the compact.
