Babe,You've been my hero since I was a little kid. I'm 38 now but I remember when I was about 12 I used to have my own little show called The Dave winkelman show my cousin filmed me and my friends fishing. It was the good old days!

A lot of comments here claim these aren't large fish. I have been fortunate enough to chase pike all over canada and Alaska. Pike on video rarely seem as large as they do in person. Some of these fish are easily over 40 inches. I don't know about 5 fish at 30 lbs (those are truly large pike), but they caught a lot of nice fish. Great trip.

I was just up there this summer and oh yes, Pat runs a top notch operation. My largest was a 43" Pike on spinning gear and a 38" Pike on the fly... I also caught a 16" and a 18" Grayling there too. It was so awesome!!!

Awesome video, Babe! It's great to see that there are still fisheries in North America that can fire up a seasoned fisherman like you.

@@BabeWinkelmanOfficial I know how hard it is to find pike that large in North America. You have to be willing to put the work in to get creative with travel. I’ve been enjoying your content for years. Thank you.

Top notch Northern Canadian fishing no doubt, great big healthy specimens.. I do advise before catching, handling and of course filming is to know proper fish handling techniques. Many great Pros out there with great video of fish handling.. Rule 1, Always hold a fish in its Natural Position, horizontal. Bigger the fish, more damage to be done when held vertical, spinal and inners. Be respectful to the resource, preserve it for others in the future.

Hi Babe, on one of your shows on pike or muskie, you fished a spoon that you said you had caught more with that spoon than any other spoon. I remember it was orange and red and had a big eye on it at the top. I dont remember what it was and was wondering if you could tell us about it. Thanks!

Hey Babe it's Cole, I got the honor to meet you at this years Musky Fest in Hayward WI. It was awesome talking to you at The Moccasin. Sad to say my 5 year old son accidentally tore up the autographed picture of you that you signed for me back in June. Is there any way I can contact you Babe? Would love to hear back from you, you're the greatest to ever be in the fishing industry!

Hey babe, I've got a question: I know you're a proponent of landing pike quickly so as not to stress them out (which I respect), but are you still able to land those 30+ pound giants in under 5 minutes like you can the smaller ones?
@SCHAWIINNGG4 жыл бұрын
Brother, come to northern Minnesota. You think 49 is a once in many lifetimes, I've personally pulled a 51&1/2 inch pike out of a specific inland lake only about 45 minutes to an hour off the head of lake superior
