Even tho technically there's some confirmed some things in cut-scenes but only 4 things at all, like some purple dude breaking robots and souls scaring that guy to die in yellow costume and that random dude with a fox mask was a bully who killed his brother, and in SL there's guy who's named Mister Afton who sends his son there and son says he'll come and find the dad in the ending. So, yeah basically there's no lore, only random people who're doing something, dying or killing randomly. Plus some random words on the phone that make no sense. FNAF is about junpscares, not a story. Whoever thinks otherwise are idiots

I think the movie was lacking, but I think most people expected a FNAF movie based on the first game, full of jump scares and dark. But it’s much more like the original trilogy of books, specifically The Silver Eyes, which reads a lot like fanfic.

I gave it an 8/10 personally... ive been with the franchise since the beginning so it makes sense... and it makes sense for people who dont bother with fnaf to be confused by this movie... theres a reason the tomato score and the audience score is WAY different... but worst movie of 2023, even if you dont care about fnaf, thats just not flat out wrong, atleast a 65% if you dont know anything about fnaf... i feel like critics are just making up things to give this movie a lower score, literally one critic wrote that "the animatronics didnt move like humans" which made me laugh my ass off... like no duh theyre robots... i think moist criticals review on the movie is what i think most critics shouldve thought about it... and hes aware, that hes not a fnaf fan so he didnt understand most of it, but he knew fnaf fans would love it... not coming in here to hate, but i just wanted to share my thoughts, its not the most mindblowing movie, but its awesome to see an official fnaf movie after 9 years

Lore call backs is just about all we got in this film I guess that shit is more than enough to have a whole fan base praising it. The movie in my opinion was cool but it wasn’t scary at all and the story was just poorly written I think it’s a 7.5/10 but that’s only really because i think that the animatronics looked great and I am a fan of the lore of the games and a huge fan of the first FNAF which this movie felt heavily based upon.

idk i was watching the movie and i didnt really care that a lot was unresolved, i didnt really care about the burglars or the aunt at all in the first place, if the movie spent more time on that i wouldve liked it less. If the movie did a lot of what you said it shouldve here it just wouldve been a generic horror flick. first half of the movie was just boring, and i was laughing *at* it, but when the fort building scene happened and then all the funny stuff happened, all that constant tonal whiplash, it reminded me of what being fixated on the games back in like 2014-15 felt like, i was laughing so hard, and having a good time. Its not really a "good movie" but theres 15 billion "good movies" i dont really care about any of them. The movie wouldve been perfect to me if it just didnt have those boring plotlines, and filled the time with more goofs. I laughed so hard at the taxi scene "Why not build up to the reveal of springtrap being afton?" BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS THAT ALREADY. think of how weak of a reveal thatd be, if it was the culmination of the final film This is from someone whos favorite film is Twin Peaks: FWWM. you got the eraserhead pfp, so i assume youre a fan of Lynch's stuff. The difference with this movie, to me, is that something are meant to be amazing like that. ill agree the movie is bad, but i feel like youre lacking some perspective here

I know what you mean, most of my favorite movies are heavily ambiguous and leave much up to the audience's interpretation with open-ended questions but do so intentionally, so much of the open-ended nature of this film like "what happened to Aunt Jan's body" and "why is Afton a career counselor now?" just feel like the direct fault of Scott Cawton and the screenwriters not thinking the story though at all, and just them pushing the plot forward to get to the big fan-service moments, which is fine. I agree it serves its purpose but like I said if they just wanted to to be a big fan-service celebration movie they should've gone farther with it instead of also trying to be a compelling, stand-alone narrative film

This movie has a lot of issues especially for how long it was delayed, to think scott went through so many scripts and this product is the best he could do was a little disappointing. But to call this movie basically a train reck is too harsh. Considering this movie has so many positive reviews says a lot. Yeah there are a lot kids and fans who watched it where they could have received anything and would have liked it but kids are not going on websites to review movies. There are people who sat down and got the experience they expected and wanted (mostly). I’ve agreed with most people’s criticisms with this movie and while some of what you say is valid, a good portion of it is overly critical and cynical. I feel like you are being overly dramatic just for the sake of attention and its also hard to take you seriously when you say you started to lose interest with the 4th game being too different but then say you completely lost interest when scott kept making games that were too samie (which i would love to know what those are because sister locations, pizzeria sim, and custom night are very different from each other). It sounds to me like there is no world where this franchise can satisfy you.

I'm perfectly fine with general audiences enjoying this movie, for serious Fnaf fans it is a crowd pleaser but I'm coming at it from the approach of it just being a movie, and devoid from all connections to the larger Fnaf fandom I do think it's a total disaster. And you can see the critical split between those who aren't as attached to the franchise and those who are with that rotten tomatoes audience vs critics score. I don't feel like I'm being overly-cynical, I'm normally one to ignore or not care about plotholes but with a script so poorly-thought out and so chalk-full of problems, a handful of which I point out in the video, it’s impossible to ignore them. And I explaim at the end the direction they should've taken the film for it to be much better, lean farther into either big fan-service or an actual compelling narrative film, and the constant push-and-pull between tying to do both is what makes it fall apart

Didn’t hate it but felt they themselves could have written a better script. The film has some issues and if this movie came out on its own as if the games and books didn’t exist it would have done horribly. But as you and everyone else has said, its for the fans. And i think thats okay. (Not that you don’t think it is).

The most mid movie I ever did see. It's a shame because I loved the practical effects with the animatronics, and the pizzeria set was really cool. But the dialogue and plot was so boring and cliche, and the weird tonal shift with the fort building scene was so random and unecessary. Plus Afton being name dropped, showing up with zero motive or buildup, and dying within literally the last 20 minutes of the movie was such a braindead idea. I really think they could have done more with Afton, the animatronics, and having characters we give a shit about being in some real tense danger and made it a good FNAF movie. But it's like, 5/10 in my books.

Bro the whole reason of the fort sence Is u have to remember the animatronics are kids they are still kids and the main characters sister is the first kid they have seen In 20 to 30 years not only that the whole reason of the dreams and the reason why the dreams where happening because yes he was trynna find his brother who william killed which is why mike could see the kids that are in the animatitronics the only reason why the kids kill people is because the yellow bunny which is William tells him to cuz he is a cereal killer that’s why he puts the bunny suit at the end cuz before the kids die they only remember the bunny as being there friends that’s why the drawing of him bein there friend is up and why when the girl draws him being bad they remember he kills the 5 of them this movie not great but there’s reasons for everything u gotta really watch it

I was going to give this review a chance to explain but instead of a neutral opinion it turned into an emotionally biased whining rant about how they think people shouldn't like this movie or that it's over hyped. Whining that there no blood or gore... There was no blood or gore in the games either. Or how they animatronics aren't scary. They aren't supposed to be. It's the same concept as clowns. Clowns are supposed to be liked but some people find them creepy.
