I hope it’s not a big mess when you replace the tire.

Did you put this in the tubliss tube with the red cap? Thanks for making this.
@MobMoto3 жыл бұрын
No, this is a tubeless tire on the 790, not the tubliss version used on most dirtbikes.

I use this on my mt bike. They recommend 3-4ozs for a 29" mt bike tire, so for a motorcycle tire you might need at least that much, so 2 small bottles or just buy the quart bottle. Also, on my mt bike I need to replenish it every few months as it dries out. Not sure if this stuff plays nice with TPMs if you have one.

It worked with just one for me, I see guys running around with big cans of fix a flat. A tire only last me a couple months, so I cant say how it works long term. Thanks for sharing!

I think it would better if you just moved the tire around slowly. The stuff has to be on the rims to work. Driving on the highway would cause the centrifugal force to push the stuff out to the tire instead of on the rim...

Yeah, also, if it's accessable without removing the tire or fender (it's not worth doing all that) add the sealant with the valve at the top so it runs down the inside of the wheel instead of pouring straight to the inside of the tire.

@@clifton4566 i do believe it ends up everywhere. my motorcycle got a leak on my way home from work. i stopped and got a can of fix a flat, now i am seeing the liquid crap coming out though my spokes so the liner let go, not the tire. I won't be able to get it to the shop till the weekend so i guess ill see if it holds air like this.

@@eonreeves4324I've got a very slow leak on my rear tire and was considering slime or fixaflat but I was curious about it throwing off the weight balance, does it effect the speed balance of the tire?
@eonreeves43242 ай бұрын
@@woodyreally yeah i have used it on my ebike and it's a life saver, i had so many holes in the tires i joked "it's held together by green slime at this point" it would settle while sitting at stop lights so when you take off you will feel the wheel is off balanced until about 30mph and then it would smooth out like super perfectly balanced. you wouldn't notice it if you put less in, i went heavy because it does get used up over time via leaking out of holes lol. you have to use the slime for bike tubes tho if it's a motorcycle that is using tubes. it's just a bigger bike tire tube in reality. I tried using the kind for air filled tires and it does not work at all.

@@eonreeves4324 well I got a mew tire put on Oct 4th and I noticed it was low 2 days later so I aired it up(should've called the shop then) then a few days later it leaked back down to 15lbs. It never leaks below 15lbs though which is super weird to me

how has it been long-term??? I'm a new KTM owner...just put knobbies on it...pretty sure I got NO WHERE near the inner strap...but sure as crap, I was flat the next day. I aired it up and sprayed the wheel with water...sure enough, a single spoke is blowing bubbles. I have a 1090R. Planning on doing the Smokey Mountain 750 in a couple weeks... Sooooo, I'm hoping that this has been a good long term fix???? Have you had to add air everyday? I REALLY hate taking the wheel on and off. That **** lip on the inside of the brake caliper is a pain when trying to remount the wheel.
@MobMoto2 жыл бұрын
its a temporary fix. Ive had more trouble with other tires. Im currently trying a new rubber inner gasket I've ordered to see if I can fix it long-term. Seems a common problem on ktms.

This is essentially like Slime? Curious how messy it is to clean up when replacing fires.
@MobMoto Жыл бұрын
i dont think its as messy as slime.

Not a solutiom if you have the TPMS valves. They call they must be hanged if you use tire sealant😢
@ad782 жыл бұрын
I recommend Ride-on. It seals and st the same time balances your tire. Add more 25% and you can remove those ugly wheel weights
@turbolag51078 ай бұрын
That only works for sealing The outside thread In the event of a puncture on a tubeless tire.

Basically fix a flat. Which id like to remind everyone here is NOT FOAM. You will be surprised with whats inside a tire after you use fix a flat. Not a foam.
