People who get their hwh replaced usually never purge their faucets. Happens all the time. If the gunk doesn't clean off leave the tips in a cup of distilled white vinegar, leave it in for a lil while and the gunk will come off.

well it could be the angle valve under the sink aswell, could also be a little piece stuck inside the tap itself, so your video just shows what you should check first cause its not always the solution

What if it's a brand new kitchen sink? I also have one shower that has low flow. Then when I go to put the shower on rather than the spicket it makes a noise n weak flow comes out... thanks for any tips.

Take off showerhead. Look inside the showerhead for debris on the aerator. Turn on the shower diverter while the head is off, so the line can be washed out. Make sure not to turn on full strength because it'll blast everywhere. If you still have the same problem then mostly the value has a chunk of wood or a rock blocking the line that attaches to the value. Is this a new home or have you turned off the water main recently? Could be metal scaling got pushed through the system if water main was turned off and you have metal water lines.

Hey quick question! So I had a cold front 4 days ago and it’s been regular cold after so like 50° but my sink faucet pressure was affected from that one day of cold which is the only part of the house that has low pressure when it never used to have low pressure. I cleaned the aerator already and it’s still the same. Any tips?

@@Illumius You need to determine if the flow problem is at the fixture or the supply. Turn the cold water valve off and disconnect the cold supply at the faucet and face it in a bucket. Turn the cold valve on and see how the flow is. If it’s good, try changing the cartridge. If it’s not, the next step is replacing the angle stop.

most of the time that doesn't work with new aerator. u can clean it 17 times and won't make a difference. you need to remove the water saver ring. also known as an O-ring

Why go buy a new one? When you can literally eliminate the problem. Go ahead and buy a new one. Then you'll need a new one if your water ever gets shut. Breaking off calcium from the valve and as the water flies through the pipes. If you have hard water good luck.
