This almost answers my question, I have the opposite problem, my target animation is shorter than the metahuman I'm trying to retarget too. so she's squatting down to where the other characters pelvis level is. similar fix for this or different? thanks Oli.

On the chain mapping tab, click root settings. From there, carefully play with scale vertical and/or Blend to source.

Jobutsu, any chance you could tell me what to do? I have the problem in 5.1 that my Metahumans shoulders are quite quite stretched and since the clavicle is not set to IK I cant blend to source. It have found some documentation which says to put everything in the skeleton to retarget to skeleton except for root and pelvis to retarget to animation which I've seen to work in the videos but it doesn't do the trick for me Much appreciated! (I can see how many people comment on your videos so no hard feelings if you don't find the time :p)

Try turning IK on and off in the IKRetargeter and see if that makes a difference. If it does turn IK on and off for the arm chains. If that works the the problem is in the arm chains.

I've been having the same issue and have not found no conclusive solution yet... I saw someone saying it's because my first character is originally in a T-pose and the second one in an A-pose, is that the case for you as well?

@@mdp7193 hmm originally the pose was different but I did edit the pose the be the same. I actually did fully redo the whole thing afterwards and had no issues anymore

Hi ! When i retarget from ue5 mannequin to metahuman all animations look like they worked (in preview) however when I replace the thirdperson blueprint with my metahuman and start game my legs look like they barely move , makes my character look like he is skiing lol can you please show how you would replace the ue5 mesh with metahuman to use in game ?

do you know a good way in unreal 5.1 to mirror animation sequences? I know how you can do it during runtime, but in our case it would be easier to work with actually mirrored assets

1. Load animation into a sequencer 2. In the animation sequence properties create/select and use a Mirror Data table 3. Bake the resulting animation to a a new animation sequence.
