Spot on brother. Silicone is the only way to go with rainX. Imo sometimes it's an old blade can cause chatter. The rubber gets hard. Chatter can happen with new blades also. In that case clean the windows and add RainX. If the blade is loose and chattering replace the blade and use the hardware that comes with blade.

People keep saying silicone wiper blades are great, but the one and only time I put a set on my car, they instantly caused an enormous amount of noise in both directions. The next set of rubber wiper blades also grabbed and shuddered, which hadn't been a problem before the silicone blades, so it seems that they deposited a grippy layer onto the windscreen. The noise continued until I scrubbed the windscreen, and it hasn't returned with the rubber wiper blades I've used since.

Mine squeaked just as they were about to stop near the top (last 20% of travel path). And on a brand new car (few weeks old). Also leaving lines. I took it to the dealership, they inspected if it's under the right angle and put on a new blade. It was perfect for about 10mins, I was happy and then the same squeak horror again. It drives me crazy. It cleans perfect now but the high pitched hell. I've tried cleaning it (including new blades), I re-cleaned the problematic part of glass with alcohol after normal cleaner didn't do the trick; still the same. And funny thing is that it always works normal for a few minutes. The worst thing is that most of my buddies who also drive a Mazda never had that issue. Should also mention that from driving perspective left/bottom part is slightly 'dancing'; not skipping, just not fixed. Co-Driver side is perfect.

Get your windshield buffed and polished to get out any contaminants, then wax/seal it so it operates smoothly without any chatter.

@@BayCityBanshee Hey, at the end it was the wipers themself but factory made. Every time I replaced, it was with new Mazda OEM, went to actually polish the windshield, dude inspected it and said "nah, it's new", get Bosch Aerotwin. I got them and there was rain the very next day, went to drive around; no squeaking, no lines, no smudging (this was the worst at night). What they do with original blades, I have no idea...

What is the reason for the bent arm? Is it like that out of the factory?

Not necessarily. Most of the time the arm would get a bit bent when changing the wiper blades. By forcing the old blade off or the new blade on can easily bend the arm enough to make the wiper skip.

The problem with rainx is it is very diff to have a streak free glass after applying rainx i used to use it but no longer,,,i just wax the glass as i do the painted parts,,,,lasts quiet long and no streaking

Mines work fine for like 10 to 15mins and then start chattering it’s so weird

Just add some dishwashing liquid to your washing water, whenever u hear the sound just give it a dose through your cars windshield cleaner
