This is defintiely going into my modeling playlist for when I inevitably forget how to do this one day.

Yeah, and it is made worst that when you search for how to do this in KZbin, you get 10~15~19 minutes videos, they just talk and talk and talk about nothing to get to the point. That's why I have to make this video to remind myself how to do this without their nonsense.

Man. I never thought of using this yo clean up hard surface. I used to use the same trick to have better normals on vr painngs done in quill vr

@@celsofx I avoided data transfer because all the tutorials about it is oh-so-very-complicated, I created this video to prevent another me from having to sit through all the rubbish. I am surprised by what you say, that you could take the corrected normals to VR, I was surprised because those apps don't have the data transfer modifier...but...you are correct! If the data transfer modifier is applied, the normals are baked in! Then you can continue using that mesh with the corrected normals in other applications AS LONG AS the normals are not being re-computed upon import! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

@BracerJack oh no, the other way around. To render vr paintings in blender. But yes. I also used this to bring corrected normals to unreal
