Thanks to doing physiotherapy irl several times btw with various therapist bcs I just got whoever was available at the time (insurance covered it for me in each case, I live in the EU) I learned to feel my back which sounds weird but I did not feel my back. I even did exercises that I did not feel like I was doing, or doing anything at all, I was trying to and the therapist told me I was doing it, but to me it felt like I only thinking it. Overtime I started feeling my back muscles better. What you explain here in this video sounds a lot like my case. One thing I learned in physiotherapy is that (at least some of) my back muscles are weaker than normal so they gave me exercises for that but honestly they seem to engage my musculature in the same or similar way as the first exercise you're showing. I found it so cool that I imitated the first exercise while sitting and I could feel all the stuff you were saying and I felt great afterward. I've definitely done something similar in irl physiotherapy but not exactly the same. I will definitely remember the visual of those two neck muscles. I've been doing exercises to relax neck muscles and this whole tension that pulls my neck and head forward and doesn't let me expand my front so to say the way I would like to. But idk if I target specifically those two. I feel I learned so much just from the first 4 minutes of this video. Thank you so much for posting this for free. I hope I can dive into the stuff you've posted for free and once I feel it's really sunk in and I've made decent progress I want to consider your in depth program. I think my experience from irl physiotherapy primed me to even understand what you're talking about here. Maybe your viewers can benefit from doing a set of exercise as a beginner set to just gain a better sense of their own body?

I can see the efficacy of these exercises, especially the last one for engaging the muscles which depress the scapula. But I didn't see anything active to disengage / stretch the serratus anterior and pec minor - two muscles which really pull those scapulae forward - or which strengthened their antagonists. Of course all these exercises do engage those areas, but I was looking for something more targeted. Perhaps a part II??

Do you have any videos on why a person might have different mobility in their hip? Idk how to call it properly, but where the leg connects to the pelvis, that joint, I feel I have different mobility there. I was trying to do certain dance moves the same way with my "weak side" as with my "strong side" and the more I cracked down on how I do the movement with my strong side the more I could tell I physically _can't_ do it exactly the same way with my weak side bcs it seems to have more restricted mobility.

@zemphir10083 ай бұрын
Do you mean you are not able to do homecare / exercises for both lordosis and rounded shoulders at the same time due to pain or discomfort? Because the ideal option is that you can preform exercises for both Lordosis & Kyphosis (in the same routine week to week instead of alternating between a month of exercises for your lower extremities and then stopping those to only do upper extremity exercises). Otherwise, just follow the strengthen & stretch exercise on this channel for Lordosis / Kyphosis (@ Conor Harris). [ if you're able to see a PT/CAT/RMT in real life they can also preform an assessment on you to pinpoint the root cause of your posture and prescribe more targeted homecare for your specific case.] Good luck!

Lay on your side with books or a large rolled towel beneath your ribcage and if you really want to expand beneath your pelvis.

Why we are pressing lower ribs down? Are not we want to expand that area as well becoz it is also in the round postion.

@tahoeguy17433 ай бұрын
Proper bench press form and technique will train the body to get thoracic extension and expand front rib cage while holding the shoulder blades back. A wide grip bench press will help stretch out the pecs and use more shoulder, back and seratus anterior muscles. I hope this helps anyone lost out there like I was.
