Absolutely hats off to you. I’m a housekeeper and had this exact issue today. Couldn’t figure out where the clog was at first. Found your video, turns out it was a ballpoint pen in the gooseneck just like yours. Now it’s back in service. Thank you!

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I never thought to look in the handle section and that is where it was. We carefully ran an old thermocouple through it several times, breaking up the clogged dirt gradually and then blowing on one end. out popped several clogs. Excellent video! 10 stars!

I did everything he said to do but did not work, while running i took the dirt collection basket off, the noise immediately went away, put the basket back in place, the noise was back, it turned out to be the wire cone in the top of the dirt basket, cleaned it with a tooth brush, working perfect now.

Thank you for sharing! Troubleshooted all the removable parts of the hose and found a lead pencil in the upper handle!!! Took me 15 min for me to unscrew the screws to realize the handle does not come apart. Spent the next 30min using a wire hanger prying the pencil out. Thank you again (:

Thanks so much. Had that exact noise but couldn't find the clog... A good poke with a long piece of wire and boom!... out pops a huge piece of Lego, followed by a giant mat of hair. Now works perfectly 👍🏻

Glad I found this video! My vacuum is making that exact noise! I did some taking apart but I will do more now! I have the red and white one. A bit different but still this helps! I always keep my filters changed and even replace the hose sometimes. I ordered those security bits so I can take it apart :) thank you! I saw the Kirby at the end! I grew up with one those things are beasts and solid metal heavy! I miss it but don’t lol. Keep up the great work! 😊

We do have one and we hate it lol. We had a Dyson before this and just ordered a hushtone. We use them at home and for our business. The shark cord is stiff and tangles. The vac is too lightweight and has a chincy feel. But for 160 bucks we didn't have high hopes. We do burn through vacuums pretty regularly so hoping the commercial Hoover will fit the bill.

Thanks for posting this. I had the exact same sound. Honestly was shocked to see the clog on the vertical shaft, like how does dirt even get stuck going up and down 😂. The broom handle cleared a glob of hair, dust, dirt and dog hair, nasty 🤢 but the vacuum work better than it did the day I got it 😂

I'm not sure if you have the same model as me. It's similar to this one. I didn't even know there was ANOTHER FILTER, and that was causing me my problem. I cleaned everything and had no clogs but noticed there was another. The bin that collects dirt on the top is a latch and is another filter, and mine clogged up with a bunch of crud

I have changed my filters, checked all my hoses, but that noise that it makes when it’s clogged is the little valve underneath the filters that spring loaded. Could there possibly be something wrong with that?

😊 I am embarrassed to say that my dust collector that holds the dirt is so cloudy with dust, that I did not realize the top filter cup area was clogged with a small plastic cap and that it allowed everything to collect on top and create the clog! I usually open the top and dump it also but there is never anything in there.. So, boil it down to a USER ISSUE 🤣 Thank you for your quick reply!

I’ve seen many videos where people throw away shark vacuums of any kind away for no reason. Lack of maintenance is usually the number one reason people throw away their vacuum.

I have a whole new problem my vacuum powers on but it doesn't even turn the motor on for the top part for the hose and when I try and use the bottom part works normal but with a weak suction any ideas??

Sounds like you have a clog, or the filters are bricked up.
