I live in western PA and my system froze up last year. Radon levels spiked. Yikes!!! I had a contractor try Jessie's instructions and install the heat cable rig and success. It's 8 above zero and I'm smiling like a butchers dog. Thanks.

😂 I've never heard the butcher's dog one! Glad to hear it worked! We install them on nearly every exterior routed system and never get freeze-up calls from those customers.

I was just wondering if there was an option out there for this. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent video, particularly with the timely close-ups! As for the zip-ties at the top, they don't like sunlight over long periods. Even black ones get brittle, dry out and break. Since you're likely going to install/or have installed a critter guard, why not use the attachment screws and some small brackets to hold the upper end of the cable? Whatever you use to hold the guard could be modified to hold the current or eventual cable, no? Also, as for the seal on the plug down below, wouldn't Teflon plumber's tape work? Nixw job on the vid, whatever the case!

what do you think of having a sanitary Y in the bottom of vertical run to drain water around the fan?

Most people are forced to wait until it warms up. We came up with this for the ones that don't want elevated radon while their system is frozen. It's also possible for the ice inside a radon system to damage the radon fan.
