Thanks, my tractor has the two lines going into the top of the mounting of the hydraulics. I am going to assume I am going to get oil out of lines when I disconnect?

Yes, yours is the early style with controls under the dash then the oil is piped back to the remotes.

Why not replace the orings and backup rings inside the connector while you had it apart that far?

I replaced the seals where the hose ends connect, or are you referring to another spot?

Backup rings are behind the o-rings and a pistol to change unless you put them in hot water first. Inexpensive fix with JD parts. Fixed the leaks. Also check for wear or rough spots on hose tips.

What type of grease and is it hydraulic oil for putting back together on the parts

Just Hydraulic oil in the can and a red #2 grease like from a grease gun or your tub for bearings.

Got a better solution if you need. No one has these blocks we have on the market.
