John Deere 4020 SCV Rebuild (Well Kind Of) not completely rebuild found out valves inside are bad. Changed to bad ones to the return side. Ordering new ones now.

What I want to know do replace the seal instead of replacing the whole valve?

It’s a teflon hard seal and you have to replace the whole valve. I don’t think you can get just the seal. I could be wrong though

@@HighOctane101 in automatic transmissions that use similar teflon type seals, they have special tooling to slip them over the valves. I imagine there's something for these too. But I have no idea how costly it'd be compared to getting the spool valve ready to install. Having a brand new spool that's not scored, even minutely has benefits too. I have a 30 series that's been needing serious attention for some time now.. and your video has given me enough info to tackle it. Finding one how to adjust will be the next step. THANKS!

Only for the 20 series I believe the 30 and 40 on up where different. Someone else might chime in

@@HighOctane101 I have a 4230 and I would like to put a selective control of um 4455, at first glance they look the same, but I'm looking for an answer before trying it!
