Some rims are opposite left to right so you have to mirror the whole process. The bigger flange will need shorter spokes in order for the wheel to be dished correctly. Look up Sheldon's spoke guides.

I haven't been on the Sheldon site since I stopped with cross-country cycling. Wasn't that site taken over by some commercial entity? Anyway, the guy compiled an impressive list of technical literature :)

Lacing is a pain when things go wrong, but I've not had the misfortune of the nipples not fitting. It is logical with different gauge spokes requiring different sized nipples. Hopefully you can drill out the spoke holes & start again?

There are more things that can go wrong, or confuse me, than I can imagine. But I got it done, as you can see in the next video :)
