Replacing the bicycle coaster brake internals

In this video I replace the internals from my Histop coaster brake hub.
It's curious how the grease inside this hub changed into a thick paste :)

Congratulations. In Ukraine, there are a lot of bicycles with such rear bushings. They are basically Chinese copies of this Shimano hub. There are ball bearings (smaller and larger) on sale. But the small cone cannot be found (there is an incomprehensible threat). The price of these ball bearings is 0.3 euros per piece, and a whole new Chinese bushing of the same type is 8 euros.

You brake on the grease. When normal grease is compressed it turns into liquid. So they use high them grease so it keeps it thickness so you can brake.

I am sure you found out that the brake arm is on the left side and the cog is on the right side. If not you will find it out when the bottom bracket is installed. I like your videos because you don't take things too serious. After all a bike is a bike is a bike! And feeding the chickens takes priority anyway.
