Moen currently sells their faucets with the tools included, but your video gave me motivation to do it. Recently purchased a moen faucet and they have the option of tightening it even more with a screwdriver. So that’s fixed. Keep up the good videos!!!

At 0:13, I wonder if you needed to yank all the hoses to tighten the cylindrical shaft into the faucet base. I agree it wasn't much effort to do so, but couldn't that have been done from below? Anyhow, it was a surprise to me that it wasn't the bottom part (with the nut) of the shaft that needed to be tightened, so thanks for that!

Best tool out there. Worth the money. Problem is the cheap plastic nut that ships with the faucet will loosen again. Hoping for better luck with the oem metal nuts that are available by moen in most plumbing isles.

I got that same tool. Has let me fix all kinds of sinks and is even good for torquing down on those old multi turn shutoff valves when you have leak after shutting off water

@@ApartmentMaintenancePro plumbers will try to lie to you or get a quick buck for a simple fix like bro it’s not that deep the plumber tried to ask 300$ no your literally doing a 1 minute job and it’s that fast.
@Rhaspun Жыл бұрын
Those multi turn stop valves often times do seem to leak if they haven't been turned in a long time. I had to replace my toilet float valve and after shutting off the stop valve it leaked for a couple of days. I ended up replacing it with a 1/4 turn ball valve unit. I just replaced another stop valve for the kitchen sink and when I looked at the old stop valve, I could see that the washer was starting to come apart. It's over 20 years old. I replaced it with another 1/4 turn ball valve type. I read somewhere else that it's a good idea to turn all your stop valves in the house at least once or twice a year. Otherwise they can get stuck and won't turn.

Every implementation is different making these videos very instance specific. Mine has a huge plastic thing encompassing all the hoses and the entire thing seemingly screws onto the threads coming down from the faucet. It was tight for 1.5 years but now it came loose. I try to screw the black plastic thing onto the threads but it just goes all the way up to the sink like the threads having nothing to grip. Since the black piece is seemingly still tight around the hoses I can't figure out how it isn't grabbing the threads anymore.

How did it screw in so easily? I have been SPINNING this thing (the orange pipe) clockwise and counter-clockwise and nothing threads..
@SamGlean9 ай бұрын
This is exactly my problem. I’ve got the threaded pipe covering the hose in position but it won’t screw into the faucet head no matter how many times I turn it. With all the other hoses running along side up into the faucet head, I can’t see how or where this one threaded pipe screws into the head. Any advice?

If it's a tub filler you might need t9 shut off water to the whole house before touching it

Thanks for posting this. I have a similar issue with a Delta faucet handle coming loose - the handle is separate. There was a gasket-thingy under it, seems like it’s there to tighten the base against the counter not seal and I just can’t find one to replace the old one which basically disintegrated. Faucet is Delta Victorian (discontinued) and I can’t find a replacement. OD is about 2.5”. What the heck can I use? Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
