For all people saying it not RAM, I got red CPU light, pulled out RAM, put it back in, and it started working
@UnknownVans Жыл бұрын
I see a lot of complaints here. while ram likely wouldn't be the issue here, since the CPU light is on, making sure the CPU is seated properly is a lot of hassle, so it's good to check the easy stuff first, even if it most likely isn't the issue. here I would probably make sure the CPU power is properly connected to the motherboard, then I'd probably swap the ram out with known good ram like this guy just to be safe. after that you go into the stuff thats more of a hassle, since you eliminated the easy fixes first. this is common in troubleshooting pcs since often times the underlying problem isn't necessarily what it may appear to be.

@@duke605dunno, If the CPU error light is on, and there’s a separate DRAM error light that also didn’t go on, then I’m damn sure checking the CPU first. Error codes almost always point right to the issue…if only motherboard manufacturers would bring back beep codes as standard so you know exactly what the problem is. Even Apple still uses old fashioned beep codes. One beep every 5 seconds means no Ram detected, repeated 3 beeps means the Ram is bad, and beeps in an S.O.S pattern is a firmware issue.

Could be a multitude of things. *possibilities* this my normal diagnose test *Processor gets stuck by a defective memory from POSTing which could be why the CPU light is on. *Processor gets stuck by a corrupted bios *Processor gets stuck by a defective ssd/hdd *Check Processor for bent pins then reseat it. *Trial of Q-Flash/Bios Flashback If none of this fixed it, i will then try a new processor. Newer Processors control the power for the motherboard, if still no then last would be the motherboard. i think the person diagnosing this PC already has a lot of experience judging by his ways.

Hii I've got a MSI X670E Gaming Plus WIFI: ATX w/ PCIe 4.0, USB 3.2, 4x M.2 motherboard, and last few hours a red flashing light has appeared next to my on/ off light, does anyone know why this has happened?? Is it easy to fix ? Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

Fake. Red LED means cpu error. CPU dead or BIOS fail. Maybe MB + CPU dead.

My cpu light is on and it just goes into a power loop, I can get into my bios fine but that’s about it

Damn so many backseat PC Specialists, they dont know shit about PCs and it shows.. the dram controller is literally on the CPU, if you dont go RAM first, which is the easiest step, you should never touch PCs again. My guy in the video did everything perfectly step by step and thats coming from someone with over 15 years of Expierience.

So I’ve always loved building pc’s and I have had and built a few of my own until I finally built my dream pc. Now my little brother wanted a gaming oc for Christmas and the problem I’m running into is that the pc will boot up but not with the power button. Second issue is that the display doesn’t show. And finally the last problem… the cpu light is on and I’ve taken it out and made sure all pins were good and everything but it still shows the light and no display. I’ve reset cmos replaced the battery and I’m out of ideas.

These comments are stupid. The CPU literally almost never fails; it indicates an issue when the PC attempts to POST and reaches the CPU stage. Could be RAM, could be the motherboard, could be the GPU, the PSU, an unplugged cable. It's very rarely something wrong with the CPU, as obvious as you'd think that'd be.
