If it was from scratch it would of been done different but we are making it work the best as possible. Thanks for watching Dave.

Good work. Hope he never has to find out how good the welds are !!! But at least he should feel better now 👍
@wildrosegarage42085 ай бұрын
I hope so to. It is welded great now and has some engineering and thought put into it.

That should do the trick.

You and Mike did a great job. Great solid welds. That scumbag that did that shoddy work should be sued for putting people at risk. That’s being reckless, that guy knew it wasn’t correct and he did it anyway, criminal intent. Mike should really report that guy if he has a registered business to whatever agency regulates those business. I would think he needs a license to run that business.

I will have words with that weasel soon enough. It will be strong not how we would have done it if from srcatch but it will work.

My thoughts are if you are going to do it it is for a reason not for show. This cage was equal to a zip tie holding your seat belt.

Hey now! Some of us are rookies just trying to get by!!! 😂 haha it looks great tho lol
@wildrosegarage42085 ай бұрын
I hear you, me and my buddy Mike are the rookies and thats why he took it to a chassis shop owned by a IHRA tech he did it all wrong for a full frame car he half assed some plates down like you would on a unibody car and even that was done extremely poorly. So the rookies are fixing the pros shotty work. We are turning it up this season and should pull some mid-low 10 sec passes.

@@Brokeandtwistedgarage Get yourself a old 2 door car and put your 472 caddy in it. I have a 500 I like those motors I will help you out. A nova or something would be cool. Even a studebaker like me and Mike run will fit a big caddy motor I have a 455olds in mine. Keep looking in the field and tree lines on your drives. You got everything else now you need a low buck drag car.

I bet in hindsight you would do it all yourself. Do you have a TIG welder, or is that something you needed that guy for?
@wildrosegarage42084 ай бұрын
Yes I have a tig but since it is steel I would of just used mig. We needed a tube bender and this "pro" owed Mike a favour so he had him do it. And what a mistake that was.

Hi, can you put a 2006 5.7l hemi with ECU in a 2004 dodge ram 1500, also 5.7l? Or will modifications need to be made? Hoping to get my families truck up and running again. Hard to find a 2004 5.7l in non mds with ERG. The head gaskets and ECU went on the 2004 😔. Been looking for the 2004 engine for two years now, but would settle for anything that would get the “Falcon” running again 🙌.
