Love your acting in the opening - keep up the humour! I knew how to close up the split cushion as I’ve been sewing for years, BUT knowing about the slip knot to hold it tight is a new upholstery skill so thank you.

Also learning blind stictch give one a lot of courage to fight off tin monster: IE curve ease. For me top of a wingback curve ease vs blind stitch no choice needle and thread works just fine. Buy the time I staple every hole, bend every tab, cut along every tab, tuck behind every tab my blind stitch has long been done and 1/2 of my cup of coffee drank. My couch cushion is just like this, however there IS damage to the fabric which has frayed. What should I do? I am thinking of stitching it closer (will be a touch smaller), but would like to re-enforce it somehow.

To extend the cushions life, doing what you said is the perfect solution.

Hey! Great clip. Clever man. Any way to fix old but beautiful cushions for a sofa when the piping is all broken? All covers are removable with a zip closure. I'm in Australia , AND YES! revive the industry, I can not find anyone here to fix the cushions or even remake the whole cover. Thanks, mate!

Thanks for showing this information I think it will be very useful on repairing our ashlyn chair back the seam came undone. Also I would love to learn upolstrey as a side buisness I think it's a shame how few shops there are now

Doesn't say much for new furniture quality. Better off buying a vintage or antique sofa and reupholstering it
