@makaiwise46093 жыл бұрын
@@LimbaZero Well, we didn't get a full explanation, it could be that the owner tried to turn it on, left for a second to get something to eat or grab something maybe, came back and it was still a black screen but the lights were off. I have had my computer crash and not turn on. It had been working for months. Decided to check ram by booting with a single stick and system came back to life. Added second stick, no issue either. My guess is that sometimes something messes up software wise, or a glitch in some cache idk. It just makes no sense that properly seated ram becomes wrongly seated after a crash. Usually when I am trying out overclocking cpu, gpu or even the ram itself. I learned throughout the years that if the system crashes and wont post, reseat ram even if you know it was working fine before. And yes, I did tried clearing cmos before trying the ram, still wouldnt post, I have built and sold multiple systems (probably 15 personal rigs and 10 for friends and family) in the span of 10 years). I am an enthusiast computer builder, I have 2 systems at all times and a few extra parts for testing. If you lose power in your home, you'll have to perform this procedure once again. You can have two identical X470/X570 boards with identical Corsair RAM and one won't have this issue whereas the other will (Same BIOS and board rev). I've switched to G.Skill for AMD builds and use Corsair for Intel without issue. This has been an issue I've faced with both X470 and X570 platforms.

And then just taking it to bare minimum and adding one piece at a time. But there are some cool little trickers you learn later like the screw driver to turn it on, thinking about doing that to a brand new $1500 system back in the day was the thing of nightmares until you know it doesn't "break" the board or anything. Hey Greg, Greetings from India... Great video as always... As a PC hobbyist myself, I find it informative to watch troubleshooting videos like these... Just a quick question to the community though... Why don't you guys use/recommend plugging in a PC Tweeter/Beeper on the Motherboard... I find those things great for troubleshooting purposes if the motherboard doesn't have an error code display... Like in this case of a memory seating issue/error... There should be three beeps on the tweeter (One long followed by two short beeps)... I am asking because I have rarely seen any PC youtuber ever plug in a tweeter... Or are those not a thing anymore on most motherboards... My current motherboard (Asus X570e Strix) has the header for tweeters, though the tweeter I am using is something I salvaged from a previous build...

Unfortunately, our world right now runs rife with scams and corruption from people who think using others for personal gain is some how beneficial to themselves when in truth, it's just the opposite. So I for one appreciate your ethics , honesty and professionalism... thank you for demonstrating this, it's important.

I have a question, I'm trying to build a PC for work at home purposes (mostly rendering and 3d modeling) Do you guys think the GPU market price will go down on December holidays? or Should I bite the bullet and get one for now at the current price (tbh where I'm from it's double the price as it was before thanks to this crisis)

PC's really are delicate. I had some issues with miy rig some weeks ago. The computer wouldn't boot and the CPU light was on. I tried several things. Cleaning the CPU and socket. But the problem still occured. I brought the PC to a Repair shop. Paid 35 euros for the trouble shooting. They didn't find anything, but told me, it was propably the CPU. So i bought a new CPU, placed it in my computer. Still not working. I then did some trouble shooting and sent the CPU back. End of the story. The socket was broken somehow. I installed my old mainboard, the Windows didn't start, searched up some stuff. Installed a newer bios version and then it worked. Moral of the story. Try everything you can first, before bringing your pc to a repair shop and get charged money for troubleshooting. Your videos really helped me with my problem. Even though you didn't have that exact problem, the videos gave me the conficende on finding out the issue and gave me ideas on what I should be looking for.

I actually had this issue yesterday. I had to reapply thermal paste on the CPU for the AIO, and pulled out my RAM. One stick wasn't seated properly but my motherboard has a debug LED (orange) for ram specifically and turns out I was hasty on the last stick. It looked seated while laying down but once I had it upright I could see it wasn't.

Please tell us that you wiped the fingerprints off the panels before giving the system back... Great video, glad that you were able to get it back to the owner ASAP and give them the good news that nothing was broken.

Ahhhh this was soon close to replicating my black screen on boot issue I had with my R5 3600 and XFX 5700. I was really hoping you would discover the issue. I'd even RMA'd my MSI board and they had found nothing wrong as well. (But when I put my system back together it had miraculously started working again). However, improperly seated RAM was not the original diagnosis because the black screen had literally happened when my PC was just sitting there doing nothing. It black screened like it had before and *generally* a reboot would being it back except that time, it didn't. Not even a bios this time. Completely stuck
