Some burning questions: Did Mr Spotty survive the fire or is the shirt you are wearing in memory of? Did you find the fishing bobber in the transmission pan? The gasket looks to be aftermarket , ( black with white FARPAK lettering ) so someone else may have done the gasket change wrong and left the bobber out.
@vehcor8 ай бұрын
No bobber, that fluid was waaaay to clean. Someone has certainly been there before. Mr Spotty is on the run after the fire.

Hello Scott,when you change the oil in the Mustang transmission, how do you get the dirty transmission oil out of the tork converter to keep it from catamanting the new 5 qts??
@vehcor8 ай бұрын
Ford’s have a drain plug, if not you can pull the trans cooler lines and flush it. I was more concerned with the leaks and the fluid was clean so I just left the converter alone.

At least it has a transmission dipstick unlike most modern cars that make it as difficult as possible.
@bobroberts23718 ай бұрын
Modern cars eliminated the dipstick as a way to prevent overfilling / miracle transmission additives to be added under warranty causing a failure. With better sealing systems, leaks are mostly a think of the past. Manual transmissions don't have a dipstick. Well most of them, there are a few rare exceptions like some 80's front drive GM and a few non USA cars.
@alexandergunaka6668 ай бұрын
@@bobroberts2371sure cuz those leveling plugs are so much easier for a DIYer. Some just hid them. Ford trucks still have one just not under the hood, Mazda Galway down the engine, half of the Nissans have them under the locked cap.
