The good old bmw trifecta lights, making your dashboard look like a Christmas tree. Sometimes it's a super easy fix, and other times it's damn near impossible to figure out what the issue is. In this video, I go over everything you should look for when trying to diagnose your trifecta lights. If I missed something, Please let me know in the comments below!

my friend bought an E60 530xi recently. That sheet pile has the same trifecta codes and heavy water leaks. Having a ton of Audi diy experience, I promised him that I can fix it easily but I regret my life now. I tried checking brakes and jumping them that it wasnt an issue, I foxwell ntlite scanner to see whats wrong. it said dtc pump failures, tranfer box error etc. After reading countless forum posts, I realised that i need to replace the entire module(even the rebuild cost over 400$). My friend being short of money due to covid, it went on hold even the water leaks is a nightmare too. I had to pull the entire 4 fenders and interior to inspect drains turns out the water is leaking from A-pillar pipe into the dash and foot well. That pipe cannot be replace as it runs inside the pillar. All I can say is that used E60's are pile of garbage.

Like you said it has to be coded. It will noy work until its coded. The module is set to work with the VIN of the car you took it out of and will not work until its coded to your VIN. Better off sending out your unit to have it repaired for $100. Lots of places do it

rumor has it that if you get the abs module from the same year/model car, it should work, coding will be needed, but any ha;f decent scanner than does coding can do it, the 2 major issues are usually the (front) abs unit, internally the wires fail,and need to be re-soldered. the other issue usually is the pre-charge pump, on my E38/740iL it sits on the driver firewall, and is sorta easy to pull out and re-install, 2 screws and 2 metal brake line connections ( 11mm). junkyard unirs are usually OK, assuming the lighs 3 lights are NOT on that car as well. if you find a 2001 740iL/E38 (front) abs, get back to me, Id like to try it, tks

did you find the problem? i think i might have the same problem with my e61 2008. I have changed the module, the abs block and the pump. nothing seems to work. i'm getting fault code 6e33 (hydraulic unit: internal)

what did you used to read the codes? INPA ? were you able to read the dsc with INPA?
