Fixing Broken Antenna on 2013 Kia Optima SXL

So my antenna came off the optima and it broke my heart when Kia said $300 to replace it…being broke I decided to fix it for cheap and JB Welded it back on 🥲
Tools used:

I'm not sure if you experienced the same thing but with the screw holes being broken the antenna doesn't really sit flush to the hood so did you do any fabrication to the antenna I'm order for it to sit flush before applying the JB world? Also, what are you standing on to reach the antenna? Step stool? Because I'm 5'9 and I have trouble reaching it lol

Mine was sitting flush and had no issue. Maybe you can go to LKQ pick and pull and get newer one if yours not sitting flush. I had no fabrication done to mine I just put the JB weld and put it on and it stayed on there after going through bunch of car washes! And yes I was standing on a small step stool lol. I’m 5’7.

@@Tvo281 I no longer got my car. But before I sold it, it was on there fine and like I mention I went through so many auto car washes after doing the JB weld and it was still on there fine!

@@Djrulez203 Awesome! My antenna was loose from previous car washes and last night the air compressor cord for the tires caught onto it and ripped it off so I'm going to stop by and pick up some JB weld today

@@Tvo281 mine came loose from car washes too and when I was drying my car I noticed it was moving so had to do it before it flew off completely lol. Glad yours didn’t fly off either while driving! Good luck!

I don’t have a link for it because I used the original cover. But you can look online on eBay and should find one. Every car has different one.

I have a Hyundai Veloster and my fin flew completely off. Couldn't find it. I'm trying to find an antenna cover online to fit over it but have not found any luck. Any help?

Go to your lock LKQ pick and pull! Or check carparts.com or rockauto. There are many options you can get one from. What year is your veloster?

@@asmrsleep3079 look up “2016 hyundai veloster antenna cover” there’s many options online. I would just go local pick and pull like LKQ and get it for cheaper!

@@Djrulez203 All the comes up is universal covers or full units. My radio still works so I don't want to buy a whole new unit. I found one on eBay I'll try.

@@asmrsleep3079 ye you can just get a cover online and then glue it on with some JB weld! I wouldn’t get whole unit cause you have to take headliner down to do all that.

The antenna cover is $15.00 online don’t be cheap about it and jb weld it. Do it right the first time

Some covers aren’t compatible so can’t just get a $15 cover and be done. You gotta take off your headliner to screw the new cover on too. If you don’t do it right you’ll cause leaks and more problems. But it’s your car you can do it however you like

Homie I just did it the right way in 10 minutes. Without removing the headliner. You just pop the back dome light out
