I figured out way back in Cosmetology school that I can only learn by watching certain people. The way you work just makes sense and simplifies the entire process for me. I tend to be very scattered but watching the ways you structure a nail with each type of product has helped me form a much better rhythm which just takes a lot of stress out of the service and leaves more time for talking and tweaking the design so you can have more fun with it. I love your gel work. I'm not the best with acrylic n it's just not my favorite to work with... so those videos have been especially helpful.

My nails are extremely curvy. Only 2 nails grow straight, and one up. I always have to do this when I do an Infill. I used to take them of often(after 1 or 2 infills), and I got Onycholycosis because of it(overfilling every time I removed them). I rested my nails for 2 months, and now they are ok, but I don´t take them off so often anymore. Only when I want to try a very different design like glitter underneath etc. Video is awesome as always

I totally agree, I try and do infills more often compared to new sets. I feel as long all is ok with the nails, then doing an infill is totally fine.

Whaat so if I for example have to paint on two coats of non wipe top coat, I don't have to buff the first coat before the second coat? I can just paint on the second coat directly over the first one? Or have I misunderstood? 🙈😅
@Avokadas4 жыл бұрын
you don’t need to buff
@patriciagallacher67414 жыл бұрын
Usually when applying 2 no wipe top coats you should slightly undercure the first one for example apply your no wipe top coat cure for 30 seconds then apply your second no wipe top coat and cure that for 60 seconds. That way you get better adhesion and no peeling.
@Nailcou4 жыл бұрын
It depends on the top coat, sometimes you can apply two coats, but with some - the second one won't really adhere to a shiny surface

Did you say letting the natural nail grow long beneath extensions may cause lifting or did I misunderstand?
@ioanna_vsl4 жыл бұрын
Yes she has said it multiple times and this happens to me because I don't have a e file yet to file my natural nail. They lift all the time. While I'm writing this a tiny piece of my polygel fell of because my nail underneath lifted. I was able to do fills for 6 months straight and usually it would only lift at the tip so I would just file them shorter with each fill. But at 5-6 months the whole nail underneath is lifting so firstly your nail slowly lifts half way or entirely and also water gets trapped in between. If you flip your hands around and some parts of your natural nail are whiter that means they have lifted.

I have the opposite problem, my natural nails are so flat and thin, when I can actually get them to grow they start to curve upward because they're just so thin. When I do my poly gel it's a struggle to build the structure

Ive been doing my own nails for 12 years, i always just do infills but a couple months ago i wanted to make my nails all new and straight cause my natural nails curled af. Well since then i almost always had to do a new set, my natural nails are still short mostly ... wasting soo much product, i hope soon i can just fill in again....

If there’s any lifting at all the nail needs to be replaced completely. As water & bacteria can build up in the lifted area & create an infection

@ioanna_vsl4 жыл бұрын
If you have naturally weak nails and thwy grow long with the extensions they will break immediately after you remove the product. So unless you have strong nails there's to use in not filing then

Click bait. Where's that little potato peel pink nail from your thumb nail.?
@sweeteuthiedoll4 жыл бұрын
I have been bouncing between shapes lately but when I didn’t I never did new sets because when I infilled I filed down and removed most of the product. That coupled with good prep and decent product and I don’t see the need for full removals.
