Are there any particular Cabrinha kite models or model years that are prone to this cracking?

We have seen mostly kites in the 3-5 year old range that we get to work on.

The 2020 year was the big problem for Cabrinha. However, it was nothing compared to Ozone. They're prone to failure like nothing I've seen-- the valves crack and break apart. Believe they finally fixed it with the clear valves they're using.

@@KevinBradley-l6q Can anyone confirm that newer valves fix this issue? (any link?) Other brands have the same problem...

I have a 2020 switchblade and all six valves leaked or came off.

@@krell56 I better buy three valves for my 2021 Moto then. One has already failed.

I’m in the process of replacing that valve and I found out that if you dip the valve in boiling water for about 10 seconds, you can just peel it off. I know for sure now that the 10 second mark doesn’t damage the bladder at all in case you worry about that so no need to cut the bladder what so ever.

Jeff ays @0:34 that "heat does not pull it off". I heard about heat pulling it off too from friends, but must not always be the case. I'd rather cut it out than ruining the bladder completely.

Jeff, how are your replacement valves made? Are they heat welded or glued to the tear aid? Curious because frankly I've found your stick ons to be more durable than the oem Valves. Wondering why manufacturers just don't use yours
